Miles should not be allowed a scape goat, if he tries to use the OC position, then he should be forced to be OC and Head coach

I've asked that question a few times in different posts and get no answers. Not saying miles is a bad person because I think he's a pretty good man BUT if he is such a stand up guy then why do all of these different offensive coordinators(his friend Cameron included) keep getting hung out to dry for the problems on offense that HE is responsible for by most people's account? Why isn't he held responsible for it since it's his philosophy and predictable nature?

No worries miles will put all the chatter to rest tomorrow when he shits the bed once again and the answer to move on will be clear.

I know it is hard for a lot of people to believe that this actually is Cams offense, his plays, and his play calls. It's Cam's version of the 'Coryell' offense that he brought in with him. It features power runs and deep throws that are theoretically designed to loosen up the defense. Problem is that there are a lot more effective offenses around these days. Miles sought out an OC whose philosophy of offense was similar with his own notions of what an offense should be.

That being said, Cam needs to be given at least one more year just to keep continuity in recruiting and continuity in the program. Not sure even knows how or is willing to run a more effective open modern NFL style offense, but if he proves that he can't, only then should he be let go. Perhaps an assistant coach needs to be brought in under Cam who is more familiar with modern NFL 'pro style' offenses to help Cam get up to speed. Right now whenever we try to open up the offense it comes off like a badly coached disorganized mess of a shite show out there.

His contract ends after this season. Maybe he renews it, but it starts with that.

At least that's what I heard on the radio.

If miles returns next year LSU might as well bring Cameron back as well just for recruiting. You're kidding your self if you think hiring a new OC will change the offense any.

I wonder if we are not getting the results of the health issues Cam had. I mean that had to be some pretty traumatic times he went through regardless and surely had a drop off in coaching for some of that time. With him having a clean bill of health now maybe he can right things and make up for some lost time. If he does come back this whole staff will have a fire lit and nothing short of an sec championship will disappoint. IMO

I think Cam has what it takes to be a good offensive coordinator, at least on the college level, but after getting canned by the Ravens, I think him taking the LSU job was really just his way of giving up. He's Les's buddy, and Les brought him in because he knew he wouldn't fight him. Remember when we hired him and everyone was sure he'd be leaving us for another NFL gig in a year or 2? Hilarious...

If Cam does get fired, it won't be so much because he's a scapegoat as it will be a way of Alleva letting Les know that things are serious, and he better make some changes if he wants to hang on much longer. Unless we go 0-3, I don't see Alleva having the balls to fire Les.

What do you mean would be?

That is exactly what LSU's offense is.

Don't be foolish. I'm a les supporter but cam needs to go. He's a nfl coordinater. Really look at our routes we running. There for nfl quarterbacks...

Cam best year..which was 2013. We had nfl qb and 2 stud receivers that catch everything that came their way..
