I actually kind of forgot they were in college at the same time.

For some reason I think Edwards is older than he is.

They were poorly prepared for us. We surprised them with our overall team speed. Henne missed some passes. Our defense played the game of their lives. Michigan's recievers rarely beat our DB's. AE was 7-7 with 4 total tds in the first half. We blocked two kicks in the 2nd half.

Overall a perfect storm, stars alligned whatever cliche you want to use.

We also only played 29 players the entire game.

In the second half ASU had a dropped TD pass,a field goal attempt hit the goal post, and three turnovers....

I don't think anybody on UM's team playd that great, but I also don't think our D was spectacular either. Originally when I was at the game, I thought, O wow, we played amazing. Then I watched the Big Ten broadcast just a couple of weeks ago, believe it or not for the first time and was like...O...yeah..amazing, not so much. We played well, but not great. They made great plays, don't get me wrong. 2 blocked fgs and all that was great, but there were a few plays where things kinda fell apart a little.

Henne definitely had some problems with his RBs and WRs and Hart made good plays at points during the game, but he was definitely not consistent, especially since he sat on the sidelines for most of the game. I too think his injury affected him.

Some of these App St comments are funny.....

If App St and Michigan replayed that game 10 times who wins the most?

Well if it is the SAME game ASU wins 10 times...If you mean the same teams play 10 times UM wins 8 or 9...

Moot point.....Michigan won't schedule us anymore.

That day, at that time we took it to a premier college team and everybody knows who Appalachian State University is....most importantly we can return the favor of looking down our nose at the UNC fans where we have endured decades of institutional arrogance.

It's very gratifying not to be dismissed by any oponnent anymore.

henne has a nasty habit of staring down his receivers so with APPY playing man2man almost all game long it really messed henne up
