I think its because people realize who we play the next four series.

Realistically, .500 in SEC play looks unreasonable.

Because it’s the loud minority that spam the boards anytime there’s something negative to speak about. The majority of LSU Baseball fans know it’s the 1st SEC series and on the road. There’s 27 SEC games left to improve.

Well our pitching/defense gave up 33 runs in 3 games…

Had we only lost these 2 games by 1 or 2 runs I wouldn’t be that worried. But we got our asses handed to us. And all of our pitchers were getting blasted to all parts of the field. Hopefully state is just hitting on all cylinders and this weekend was more of an anomaly than what’s to be expected for the rest of the regular season.

33 runs in 3 games is not an anomaly. These were blowouts, and we looked outmatched. Top ten teams the next 4 series spells for a really bad record

It is early in the season and I trust Jay will figure some of this out. I hope Ethan Frey gets a shot to start when he is healed and better. He has a great bat that we could use. I believe our pitching will get better as things warm but there is reason for concern over the next few weeks as others have noted the competition gets much better.

This team just needs to be somewhere around .500 after the first half of the league schedule. They’ll make their run in the 2nd half of the schedule.

I think I remember you bleeding all over the place all last season.

The team was embarrassed by Mississippi State. It’s ok to admit that. I haven’t given up on the team. By exposing weaknesses, it gives you opportunities for improvement. I believe the team will get much better.

I don’t know if we get it done or not. I also don’t think that if we don’t get it done in the end we should be losing our minds.

Baseball is tough. Baseball in the SEC is tougher. MSU isn’t bad and enjoys the best home field in the country.

The way we lost is why. Errors, pitching and bats going quiet for long stretches.
