I more blame him for not having the team up for this game. They sleep walked and looked like shite for two and a half quarters. You don't win games with that many turnovers, I don't care who you're playing.

Mett played like dog shite.
The Defensive line looked like they couldn't stop a three year old coming through that line if Ole Miss had one to hit hole with. They were getting mangled. BY OLE FREAKIN MISS.

Loston once again gave a slouching half assed performance.

And yeah, Les once again fricked up the clock management. SHOCKER. But it wouldn't have made any difference had they actually been playing like they wanted to win it BEFORE the thing was getting out of their hands.

Lazy. They didn't put in the work. Ole Miss did.

You want to put that on the clock thing, you should rewatch the game.

Because it's Les Miles... The majority of our fanbase doesn't like him because he's not Nick Saban... They stand in the back and softly clap for any of his accomplishments but as soon as something goes wrong, they pounce on him...

I don't like him b/c hes Les Miles....has nothing to do with Saban.

And not one mention in this thread of 3 (should have been 4) interceptions thrown in the first half, into double coverage, every time. Doubt that had much to do with the outcome. Mett redeemed himself nicely in the second half. Just too little too late.

SIAP but if you watch SCAR this weekend spurrier did the opposite of wastefully burning 2 TO in worthless attempts to draw UT offsides. Back to back. Miles wasn't even the only SEC coach to screw the pooch this weekend.

Really? There is emphasis on any element of the game and the usage of time until the game is completely over.

To say its to much emphases is like saying why try and tackle a guy at the 5 yd line just let him score and them kick the ball to our offense.

That's stupid.

This.

Although I understand the point, which is that Les is bad at clock and this proves he hasn't gotten better. So this could be an indicator of his continued clock problems, but to me it's not a direct factor in the loss.

Yeah I'm disappointed in how we played. That far overshadows Clock management.

Hell, clock didn't bother me in 2009. I saw a team that was outplayed and pushed around all game by a mediocre OM, and I'm supposed to be upset that a miracle desperation drive didn't work? Should've never come down to that.

good grief - I can't believe I'm reading any defense of Les on the timeout issue. It's important and was a complete brain-melt. Was it the only thing that lost us the game? Of course not. But at that juncture of the game, proper game management says you call our timeout to preserve 25 seconds for our offense, in case they make the kick. 25 seconds is enough for 4 plays, maybe even 5. At worst, we move the ball to midfield and have one chance at a Hail Mary.

You simply cannot defend Les' failure to call a timeout. Maybe we only had a 2% chance of winning if we'd call the timeout, but you've got to give the team every chance. And Les failed.

I'm not defending Les. He sucks at clock. But in this particular game it wasn't much of an issue. Esp compared to all the other problems with this team.

LSU did not lose because of not calling timeout with 30 seconds left.

However what LSU threw away a very slim chance at forcing overtime for absolutely no reason.

That's why people are focused on it, it was completley senseless.

Yes, Miles should have called timeout. However, it would have made no difference. Not callng a timeout is not why LSU lost and it had no impact on the final outcome. To make this big of an issue of something that was irrelevant to the outcome is senseless.

Les sucks at clock. It is well known and documented to those that aren't blind.

What I want to know is why none of our other 12 coaches said anything?

Because it is indisputable evidence that our coach is so oblivious to what is happening on the field that he neglects to call obvious timeouts. It's disturbing and signals an overall lack of competence or intelligence. It's hard to even explain, frankly.

It was a modern day Jamie Howard game but the defense played pretty bad too. Dug too deep of a hole in the first half, and the D couldn't get off the field in awesomely easy situations multiple times.

Yeah, don't lump all veterans in with your line of thinking. Yeah Les is the captain of the ship but the entire unit was crappy.

Les has no problem taking responsibility for the loss but that doesn't make the soldiers any less culpable for the mess they put out there Saturday. Definition of a team loss.
