Yeah, and I said all of that. IF we get better and finish 8-4 or 9-3, then obviously we will have a lot more to build on. If we go 6-6, then I am not sure that we have enough raw material to make the jump to a championship contender in one year.

THAT is what I am saying. IF a new coach came in with new energy and a new scheme that maximized our talent, I might think differently.

I am being REALISTIC. Not negative.

Ok. Yet, somehow, Mid Majors can put a functioning offense on the field and LSU cannot.

Huh? These teams usually get destroyed by the good teams. Yeah every once in a while a team will lose to uab or ulm. But for the most part those teams get waxed. Hell top teams have had trouble having a functional offense against LSU in the past.

The OL will be better next season. La'el is the only one that will be missed in the slightest. The new OL starters will be more suited to what Grimes wants with his Zone Blocking

Heard similar stuff last year about how the dline would be better this year

Because by defaulting to "one year away", people are able to sidestep having to face head-on what a shitshow this year may turn out to be. It's a defense mechanism.

One benefit of being around for a while is the opportunity to watch people predictably act predictable. After 1/9, I shite you not in saying that there were several posters who said "well, 2011 wasn't supposed to be the year anyway. We're a lock for 2012."

That really happened.

Everyone sees we have serious issues, but yeah, frick anyone that tries to glean positives from a fricking game. Bunch of idiots, am I right?

correct, it has nothing to do with the 17 true freshman playing, many of which are our skill players.

2012 was probably a few seconds away from being a national championship year. That really happened too.

You know, I read your stuff on here. you at times try and act "in the middle" like a true, realistic LSU fan...but you can't really hide the deep down nega in you. I don't know what is worse, the ones that are just blatant, or the ones that try to tow the line, while not being very convincing.

I really think the offensive issues are poor QBs. Jefferson and Lee were horrible and everyone hated the offense. Jennings is horrible and everyone hates the offense.

People seemed relatively cool with Russell, Flynn, Perilloux, and Mettenberger running the offense.

I think people will be happier once Harris gets a little more experience.

man....there are just a lot of losers on this site. Just a lot of uneducated guys that can't see a bigger picture. You hear people like this all the time in real life. They don't know much about LSU in reality, but they hear a few people say negative things, and they are just followers. It's what we have a lot of on here. A lot of small-minded followers.

I'm sure I can speak for you in saying if we were to really start seeing some negative trends, we would want a change as well. But, it takes more than a few games. For me, it would take no improvement the rest of this year, then starting the same next year......It's the unrealistic expectations that get most....that and the run Alabama HAD. Luckily, there are people like us in life otherwise the world would be one big knee-jerk.

We shouldn't.

2016, that will be the one.

Who you calling a nega?

Anyway, I've been toeing the line for years. This year's team just looks really bad. I'll be pleasantly surprised by 7-5 or 8-4.

And out skill players are (esp QB) have problems, but they are nearly alone among the team's weaknesses.

Yeah. You can judge several posters' lives by a few posts, but those who disagree with you are "uneducated losers" for offering a sober assessment (a judgment) on the state of the team based upon half a fricking season.

Any time you want to compare educations, btw, I'm game.

I mean, there are definitely plenty of negative things to talk about so far this year and vocalizing these concerns is A-OK in my book. I just don't understand the venom that some have towards people that try and look on the bright side of things. Seriously are people's lives really that shitty?

Its all about getting some JUCOs to fill some big gaps. If we get 3 JUCO DTs, 2 LBs, and a QB, we could dramatically improve. Compete for a title? Maybe, if we get lucky.

I think some never liked the guy and are determined to be proven right. Those are the ones that really honestly pull against LSU for the sake of being right about Miles.

Then, you have that segment of losers that literally lets the success and failure of LSU dictate the quality of their lives. I guess once upon a time I was there, but haven't been for many years. If they get on a run, I enjoy the hell out of it...if they don't, I look for positives.

agreed.....I don't understand why these "experts" can't understand that DT is the one position where you need experience.....there and qb....and we are getting both this year
