What could possibly make you think this

Fisher is trying to build a top program. he's literally only had two full seasons. Would you say Ed Orgeron did a good job two seasons in? He won 9 games his first year and had to play LSU, Clemson, Georgia, and Alabama in the regular season last year with one of the youngest teams in the country.

he's very well positioned for a big season next year, but keep pretending like he's not doing a nice job. does that really just blow your mind to suggest he's doing a decent job?

Yeah, schools almost everywhere have better concessions options than LSU. Opening a couple more free parking areas is hard? It was done for over a hundred years for LSU football, and the SEC money distribution is greater than ever.

People adore him because he's an LSU guy and he isn't Alleva. Look, I hope he's the greatest AD ever. He just hasn't shown yet that he's doing anything other than sleeping in his office.

You realize that all of your suggestions come at a big loss of money to LSU?

quote:

Yeah, schools almost everywhere have better concessions options than LSU

So, you expect him to walk in the door and terminate a contract (created by Alleva) and pay the massive amount of money to get out of it? Just so you can have shrimp nachos, or whatever the hell you want??

If you can't park for free to tailgate then you are either too lazy to walk a little, or you aren't looking. But again... You were expecting him to kick in the doors and remove another source of revenue?

Maybe a little time should be given for him to figure out what is going on, what needs to be changed, where he can make money and where he can improve, before we jump all over him.

1) Woodward inherited a 10 year contract with Aramark that Alleva negotiates.
2) LSU does have free parking all over campus. Just where is that you’d want them to open job

I’ll say it again. He’s been here since last April. He hasn’t even seen full LSU sports cycle. Relaaaaaaaaax.

I'm willing to give Woodward some leeway, but he's been here about a year. What has he done? The guy can't make a single change in a year? Nothing? He can't make make sure Tiger Stadium doesn't run out of water or they have more food options? He can work with the concession company. If he can't, he's not the guy.

He can't improve parking? Why was he hired? Really, tell me what this guy has done. I hope he does great things for LSU, but no one can point to a single accomplishment at LSU.

All he needs to do is make the trip to Lafayette and hire Deggs.

How long was he here before football season kicked off?

The man can coach and his players will always play hard. Some of Paul’s players seem entitled.

Mmmm... the Orgeron hire and the national championship were Alleva's work. I hope Woodward will have the same good fortune when hiring coaches.

I really think Woodward may have a decision to make in baseball. I hope not. I actually like Mainieri and I want him to turn it around and leave on his own terms when he wants to.

How long before football season did he have to be here before he makes a single change? Just one. I'm just asking. He's been here about a year. Nothing yet.

So Alleva gets the credit for the national championship, that happened 9 months after he was gone, but Woodward gets the blame for not fixing concessions, parking four months after he was hired. Seems like Alleva is getting credit for all the good, and Woodward gets the blame for all the bad. You don't see any issues with this?

He has made a change. A massive change, actually. The athletic department is no longer giving the university a set number of dollars per year. This may allow him to free up money for you to see some of the changes you hope to see down the road.

No issues at all. Alleva made decisions that worked perfectly, even if he lucked into them. Woodward made no changes or decisions at all. He's just coasting thus far.

I take that back. The loge seating at the Box is pretty impressive.

Fans destroyed Alleva for tailgating, parking, fan experience and concessions. Woodward didn't make a single change to any of those things. He couldn't do anything? Nothing?

He approved the sale of alcohol in not only Tiger Stadium, but the PMAC and the Box as well after the SEC lifted it's ban. Numerous ADs/SEC schools decided not to sell alcohol in their stadiums. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, etc., did not sell alcohol. Meanwhile, LSU had over $2.2 million in net revenue from alcohol sales in Tiger Stadium. Big success with that decision. The fans have wanted that for many years, so I would say that he definitely improved the fan experience for many with that move.

Woodward has already stated that the athletic department will be changing their policy on automatically donating a certain amount back to the school every year because it's a bad business model and and other comparable schools don't do it. That will allow for more investments in coaches, facilities, fan experience agenda items, etc., while allowing the athletic department to donate money back to the school as it sees fit with particular projects in mind.

And Orgeron said he has been phenomenal since day 1. He said he is very involved in recruiting because he knows all about their recruits and has expanded their recruiting board. He said he has even put him (Orgeron) on a couple of recruits.

We don’t even know what the right move is. You don’t either so it doesn’t really matter whether you have faith in Woodward or not.

All hat and no cattle. Small Pawl will be around forever, just like Miles. I hope all the Pawl slurpers enjoy!! Our baseball program is done until complete changes are made.

It is called football knowledge. The Aggies are returning 8 players on each side of the ball. Their schedule for 2020 is soft. They have been recruiting well. Bama and LSU are repacking historical QBs. Auburn is rebuilding too. Bama will be the favorite in the West next season, but the Aggies will challenge them.
