LSU is 4-1 and 2-0 in the SEC.

Are we playing to win titles or running a QB daycare?

How does a QB get experience by holding a clipboard?

It’s non-sensical.

Especially when LSU is already starting true freshmen at the offensive tackles and tight end.

Walker Howard is, by all accounts, the best QB on the team.

What’s the point in saving Howard’s redshirt when he’s going to start the next 2 years?

Daniels can’t think quickly enough on the field and Nuss isn’t coachable.

I am tired of watching QB’s who were highly rated in high school come to LSU and then look like they’ve never passed the football.

It’s stunning.

I have to believe he would be playing if he was the best option, he must not be ready.

He can play like 4 games and not burn his redshirt………why not a top 10 Tennessee team right? LFG

Sarcasm for the folks getting ready to call me an idiot

How the frick do we know that? Why is the backup QB always the "best" to our dumbass fan base?

He just came off a major injury, he's obviously not ready for college football. Some freshman can come in and start right away, some can't. Why risk his future on a rebuilding year anyways?

Please enlighten us on these accounts stating Howard is the best QB on the team

I don’t think I’ve seen a single person say that, or even insinuate it, other than rant morons

So they don’t destroy his confidence as a true freshman where fans turn on him… just like y’all did against Lee and Nuss.

Walker enrolled in spring and played in the spring game. Also, played against Southern and has been dressed out all 5 games. So, the injury alibi is false.

I know Jamie doesn’t want to burn Walker’s RS.

I also know that JD and Nuss haven’t been great lately, but is it all their fault?

If the WRs are dropping passes that hit their hands, does it really matter who is QB?

But something tells me Walker could really be a spark for this offense. I’d love to see him play against TN.

Look what Milroe did for Bama. Is it that big of a stretch to think Walker couldn’t do the same?

Him taking a redshirt year was likely a condition of him staying committed here after his injury. Jamie Howard was forced into starting in a bad spot his freshman year here and he evidently doesn’t want the same thing for his son.

If Walker works out, it will be worth waiting through a rebuilding year for him to take over.

WH is the most talented but not ready to be a starter. His time will come. It’s very rare to see a true freshman start for an SEC team and WH is not an exception.

Saban and Kiffin don’t mind playing true freshman QB’s.

If he is as good as advertised, he won’t be here 3 years.

You're right. The smart play is Howard so they can lose and get a higher draft pick.

what have you seen to justify this statement?

I think it’s more obvious that if he isn’t already better than JD and Nuss (average to below average SEC QBs), then he’s not going to be the elite QB we expect him to be and have been told he will be.

They get familiar with the offense, they bulk up in a college S&C program, and perhaps most importantly they get an opportunity to develop good habits before the weight of the entire program is thrown in their shoulders.

Completely different in terms of the mental preparation required.

He is “by all accounts” the best QB on the team right now? Can you cite some of these accounts?

The point is making sure his confidence doesn’t get stifled due to being thrown out there before he’s ready, making sure he develops good habits both on and off the field (which is much easier when you don’t have all of the pressure) and, ultimately, setting him up for success over the long haul.

I get the criticism of Daniels given the results Saturday, but Nuss isn’t coachable? How the frick would you know that?

That’s absurd.
