I told everybody when we started piping in music to tiger stadium it wad a bad idea. Look at how dumb our fans have gotten so quickly. Thradition fades fast when passed on to idiots.

you can tell im not the only one in this thread that feels this way, i think things are going to change very soon in the game day stadium atmosphere and the band being there is not one of them

I can promise you that you are one of about maybe 5 LSU fans that would actively promote eliminating TGBFTL.
And if you ever think the band is going away, you're crazier than your OP indicates.
Bands are part of what makes college football so unique. It's part of the tradition, and it's a great tradition. And seriously, I wouldn't go around telling others in public about your thoughts on this issue, because you are likely to get punched in the face (ok, maybe not punched in the face, but you'll certainly be looked at like you're an idiot that has no sense of history and tradition).
It's one thing for an Iowa State fan or Cal fan or Boston College fan to talk of "no need for the band"...But an LSU fan?#?!? We have one of the greatest bands in the country, and a band that has one of the greatest relationships with its fans. LSU fans would not be the same without the band, and the band would not be the same without our fans.

I didn't read all that. I love TGBFTL. I get pissed when they're leaving the stands to set up for halftime and they don't play when they normally would.

Here's a clue grasshopper - most of your generation's music sucks compared to my old fart generation's music.
Why listen to the band?
Here's another clue grasshopper - LSU music as played by the LSU band ties us all together as Tigers. Random shite played by a random group, popular for a few weeks won't tie anyone together.
I suggest if you don't like the band, put in your earbuds, crank up the decibels on your iPod to the max setting, and lose your hearing fast. Then you won't hear the band and true Tiger fans won't see drivel posts like this.
Or go to a loser school, not LSU.
