Because Lee is a 10th year senior and he's going to run the option like Andrew Hatch, who got hurt. Then, METT WILL TAKE CENTER STAGE!!!!!

I think he's in that Adam Sandler channukah song.

"Zach Mettenberger lights the menora...."

IDK who he is though; he must be famous though or he wouldn't be in the song right?

It is a 50% increase, roughly. An additional 50% is 3900 when applied to 2600. Just sayin...

Mett will play. If he plays well, he will play alot. Don't worry about Mett.

CreedBatton,

I do not know where you learned math. But if I have 2600 yards, and I increase (i.e.exaggerate) it by 50%, I come to 3,900 yards (~4,000).

But if I take 2,600 yards, and increase/exaggerate it by 35% (like you think I should), that will take me to only 3,510 yards.

You know, if you are not very good at math, a calculator can be your friend.

Lee and Mett are both the same style of passer, why would we see a dual QB system where we only have pocket passers?

And in fact, I think his JC passing total was about 2,650 yards. If so, that means it is almost an exact 50% increase to get to 4,000 yards.

I really hope Mett gets some playing time but honestly, I don't care what his numbers were, there is no JUCO defense that even comes close to the SEC and it will take a lot of practice against our #1 D for him to get ready. I don't think it will happen as much as I would like to think Mett is ready.

My apologies. That is correct. I am working at the moment and was not calculating correctly. :tailbetweenlegs:

I honestly think he should just be the starter at this point. Take our lumps now.

That's stupid. JL should start and play. If he can't do it I say THEN bring on METT!!!

Well, for all the Mett disciples, this is best case scenario.

And, somewhat tongue in cheek - Lee starts and Mett gets significant reps this year is maximizing "experience" at the QB position. Next year Jefferson returns as a 5th year senior, Mett a Junior and Rivers and Randall as RSFr.

In all seriousness, I know that JJ's absence from the team will either be fairly brief (October) or permanent. However, out of our top 3 QBs, JJ can redshirt, Lee and Mett cannot.

JJ and the other JJ (Josh) are suspended indefinitely. I don't think Jefferson will be back.
