If the qbs here can't beat out a transfer qb who would have limited time learning the playbook and zero chemistry with the receivers then they don't need to be on the field.

Kingwood , did you feel optimistic after watching the spring game? I'm not trying to be an arse... tell me something positive that you seen out of any of these three that says they can be a top tier QB

It's because LSU is moving towards more of a RPO, spread offense and Burrow would potentially shorten the learning curve for year 1 based on his experience in a similar offense.

Do we actually even know this though?
Not saying your wrong, just that I’m not sure really what to expect from this offense.

I hope this is true though

Burrow will not be enrolling at LSU.

tOSU insiders think its far more likely he stays in the midwest and goes somewhere he can start day 1, not be used as some motivational tool to inspire a couple of 19 year olds to step their game up.

it is amusing to watch all these people get their hopes up like its a done deal hes comin here though.

Our sample size of course is very small only seeing the spring game. Based on what I've seen though I'd only trust Mcmillan right now. Narcisse's pocket awareness/throwing isn't there yet. Brennan was inconsistent, but I just went back and watched all of his passes from the spring game and on a lot of his passes he was pressured immediately. The o line was just horrific in pass protection. His interception though was awful. He had time in the pocket and just threw a terrible ball.

Yeah. I think we can safely say this now. We've heard about it, and saw it during the spring game.

When Ensminger took over, I didn't question that he would change and move towards this style of offense. I questioned whether he was capable of implementing it successfully.

I think what we've seen in the Spring is that they aren't implementing it at the pace they need to. They realize this. And, I think that's why Burrow is in the plans.

They passed on the RB from Cal for a reason. If you read between the lines, Burrow would be that reason.

yeah, just like Tre Watson was enrolling here, right?

Look, for once I am not trying to bash anyone with this post. I am simply passing along information regarding Burrow's intentions. If he comes here, great, my sources were incorrect. But the fact that there are 15 different Burrow threads on the front page makes it seem like the posters on here have already convinced himself hes enrolling and if LSU fans are good at anything, its their uncanny ability to hype themselves into a frenzy, only to inevitably be let down.

lol thats quite a spin.

so LSU "passed" on Watson (who didnt even make LSU's final two schools of Texas Tech and Texas) because they knew Burrow was transferring 2 days before Burrow announced he was transferring?

that is impressive. most impressive, indeed.

A lot of OSU folks think he's likely landing spot is Nebraska, where his dad went to school and previously coached. But I'm telling you right now, I'm as big a Husker fan as there is, and he's not going there. Frost has 2 young QBs who played great in the spring game and he isn't going to mess up a good thing by bringing in a transfer. I think he'll end up at LSU or Florida.

You need to check out the second paragraph quoted in the OP.

If you read it and still think there is any chance this guy winds up at Big-10 Nebraska you need to logout and take a cold shower and go to bed or get drunk and remain logged out.

did you even read my post?

Regardless, it's already been reported that the only B1G schools he'd be prevented from transferring to are Michigan and Michigan St.

that isn't what LSU staff told Joe. Looks like your insiders don't have a clue. Joe is not coming for a 3 day weekend visit to work on his tan.

Frost is happy with what he has. He has not even contacted Joe yet. NB is UNLIKELY.

yet the people who are acting like he's already enrolled are the ones thinking clearly, right?

he sees that McMillan is the best we have right now

This is why he’s recruiting a grad transfer. He knows McMillan is the best in the roster and it (rightfully so) scares the shite out of him.

He knows this year is basically the last chance he will get to prove us wrong and that he isn’t the most incompetent coach in SEC history.
