Lots of concerns (fair or not) regarding his ability to tackle in space. He will be a first rounder. I would be shocked if he fell to the second round. Long cover corners that can run are highly coveted in the NFL.

Many LSU guys besides Greedy have not done the pro shuttle and 3 cone drill at the Combine because their times are always better at home.

Skipped the bowl game, did not test well at the combine and his numbers were average in the skill tests. May not give a 110% is the other reason.

His been getting projected to the Steelers for the most part this year, but at the same time, he's still considered the #1 CB.
Only real difference is that people's board are changing on who they want. Somebody is about to over draft the freak athlete WR at Ole Miss, and the DL and EDGE is LOADED. Look at Clemson's DL for example. Those guys were supposed to go last year but came back and at least 3 of them are considered first round picks.
Williams will be an excellent cover corner, regardless of where he goes (and I do hope it is to my Steelers).

At the combines the announcers/draft gurus kept saying there are serious concerns on his ability to defend the quick slants and in routes. This seems to be their major reason for dropping him.

This is from a 247 article which came out today.
"Greedy Williams — who has the perfect name for a cornerback — has all the tools to be a Pro Bowler in the future." They have him as the 20th pick.
