Hey man don't worry about the assholes that don't understand english!

Hey dicks, stop beating up on him for questioning the coaches. He NEVER did that. He wants to know what the coaches know. The coaches have a reason for those guys not playing and it isn't because "the coaches know best"! It is because the coaches see these guys lack something. He wants to know what that something is. Simply question.

He's only been on the O line for a year and half. Takes some time to properly learn the position. Miles has said good things about him and his work ethic. He'll play some this year.

This.

I've wondered the same thing. So now the Rant police won't even allow an inquiry on why a player doesn't play? People get so pissy about message board threads.

I think it's a good question because I've wondered the same thing. Does he not have the feet for the position, or not that strong. Has he had a hard time learning technique. Is he close to getting it all together to where he could start or is he not even a realistic option and never will be?

Exactly, apparently such questions are not to be pondered on an LSU message board now.

I think he is. They would have never put him at LT in the first place if he wasn't.

I agree there was some dickbaggery in the thread, however, you have to look at the way the question was posed...he asked "why he is not in the picture and why was he not considered?" At first glance this sounds like an indictment on the coaches, thus the reaction. One can assume that there are better options than Davenport (unless you're Maximus). So the question really is..."why is Josh D. a better option, at this point, than Davenport?" (cue Maximus)

In addition, switching from defensive to offensive line is a very big change.

Elliott Porter played defensive end in high school at Shaw, and i think if PJ didnt have the seniority over him he probably would be starting right now over PJ. and center is the hardest position to grasp on the O Line. get ball to qb, make reads, call blitzes, block d line. it would be harder to go from o line to d line... IMO

That's pretty much the basic question. Davenport had people excited not long ago as a recruit and seems like he's been at OL long enough now to get some playing time. Unless he just totally sucks, or has injury issues, or doesn't hustle, or whatever...

I apologize if I was too harsh and you obviously didn't mean it to be interpreted how I read it.

So everyone knows the previous thread I was referring to......here it is.

He's listed as the 3rd saftey on the depth chart and he played saftey in HS rated 3 stars by rivals. why is he playing behind a true freshman is he that bad?...

It was a good question. Not Dumb not stupid but a good question. Just as the question about Duplesis was, in both cases you took it out of context.

No it wasn't. You claimed Davenport was highly recruited. Then you admitted to knowing he switched from DLINE to OLINE and then wondered why he isnt talked about as a starter. You answered your own question.

I want my qb calling out the mike ad blitzes. Center has enough I worry about and once he snaps the ball , he is already at a disadvantage when blocking.

He's been an Olineman for 1.5 years. Look at Shep,he is just now getting to be a reliable wr and the switch that Davenport made is far harder to do.
