Chavis has far better talent to work with here

Easy there. Lets not go overboard. Its not like Tenn. is a team full of plugs. They have a lot of good players on their D. One of the best in the country in Berry. They might not be quite as talented as us, but they have plenty enough to be competive and win.

You haven't actually looked at the stats have you? They are the exact same size per Scout coming out of high school. Look at the film, they're the same guy. Look at the stats. Harvin went from 5 1/2 touches a game his freshman year, to 9 touches a game his junior year. He was recruited SPECIFICALLY to take Harvin's role in the offense. Debose can certainly fill the Harvin role for those 9 touches a game.

Bookmark the thread. If Debose busts this year, bump it up and I'll gladly admit I was wrong.

BOOKMARK

And theres a little room between replacing Harvin not missing a beat and being a bust? Trying to give yourself a little room there huh.

While looking at his stats, I just noticed that Harvin never fumbled a ball his entire career at Florida.

Plus Debose has no expirience at all and percy had 3 years.

Harvin actually averaged a full yard more per carry his freshman year more than last year. He did increase his YPR by 3 1/2 yards though.

You make some good points, but I think we can take them. If we are lucky, the NFL recruiting would of hurt them the same way it did to us this past season and this year they are playing in tiger stadium and we have John Chavis, but as long as they have Tebow and Demps, It will not be easy. Id say the game will be close.

Should be another CBS night game right? This game will rival the intensity of 2007. Last 3 years it's been one of these teams looking for payback against the defending champs coming into their house. Damn we owe them big time. I think that game did more to wreck Lee's confidence than anything else last year.

CBS coverage really pisses me off, but UF @ LSU will be a night game. All of our away games on CBS are day games, but that doesn't bother me nearly as much as if it were at home.

Do not forget that the winner of this game the past 3 years has also been the national champion which makes the game all the more interesting.

I got a huge stereo in my garage. Got it sort of set up like a man cave. I played the Pre Game full blast after the game. FULL BLAST. Whole block knew it was LSU's night baby! I was hammered.

If anyone is going to beat Florida, we're the team to do it. That said, it's not likely anyone else will beat them and I don't see us being able to do so twice in a season. If the team manages a loss to Florida in Atlanta and a Sugar Bowl, I'll be satisfied with the outcome of this season.

But who knows... college football is crazy and I'm not enough of a pessimist to say that both of those games won't be incredibly hard-fought and close. And I have come and will continue to expect this game to bring those results.

The bare facts are that no team has repeated as SEC champion since 1998. Only two teams have repeated as division champs since 1998.

This will not be the year that breaks that trend. Next year maybe, but not this year.

I think that Chavis is already revamping the LSU defense to handle Florida's speed at running back. Moving Coleman to linebacker and starting Brooks and Jones at safety, increases speed in 3 positions from last years team. For those who missed the last 2 spring games, Pep Livingston will complement Alem as a speed rusher. Not having Percy Harvin is a very big deal for a Florida team that has very quick but small running backs.

I think Coleman to LB is a good idea. Who's the Brooks kid? Never heard of him.
