re: Why has no one talked about how severely underthrown Daniel's two deep passes were?

You’re right. We should be shitting on a kid who beat a top ten team by 4 touchdowns. Good job

As Joe always stated - if the cornerbacks are not looking, I'm throwing because my receiver is open and will make the play. JD is trusting our great receivers' to make some plays and they did(&will).
It's all goin be ok...

BUT those two deep passes were severely underthrown.
And 1 was a touchdown and the other was a 15-yard penalty on the other team. That’s why BK was so adamant about him letting it loose. We have better WRs than their DBs—give them a chance to make a play. Or, they’re so burned they commit the PI. There’s very little risk throwing downfield. And, like I said, it opens up the rest of the offense of defenses have to respect it.

Give me an underthrow over an overthrow all day long on the large majority of deep passes. Underthrows usually either get caught or are an easy PI call, while overthrows never have a chance.

Everyone saw and understands those passes were not thrown well. These were not the only poorly thrown balls by JD5 that day. Clearly he was off on some of his throws. However, and it is a BIG however, he did throw the ball and gave the receivers a chance. IMO that alone is an improvement. It also appears that he will continue with this because he’s done it in two games. I’m more concerned with injury if he runs when he doesn’t need to.

I'd rather the QB hit receivers in stride when they have two yards of separation and increasing. It wasn't even a long throw. LSU was on the Ole Miss 34.

Because he accounted for 5 tds and we ended the game on a 42 - 3 run…………….be happy for the kid and quit trying to create a scenario where you were right about all the stuff you were saying a few weeks ago about Daniels to your friends.

So one was a TD and the other drew a PI..seems they turned out OK.

He’s our best chance to win. Period.
I wish this shite would stop.

Shut the frick up and go away, you whiny bitch. And take the rest of your miserable ilk with you.
The best running QB in the history of our school doesn’t throw as accurately downfield as the best passing QB in the history of ANY school. Oh noz.

He's right you know.

Second deep pass was the first TD pass to Jaray. Was legit in double coverage and underthrown by 10 yards.
He was not double covered. The ball was late because Jenkins wasn’t the first read. It was underthrown but the whole reason the two Ole Miss players couldn’t make a play on the ball was because they were trying to catch up to Jaray and weren’t able to look where the ball was.

Second deep pass was the first TD pass to Jaray. Was legit in double coverage and underthrown by 10 yards. It should have been in the back of the end zone (or just thrown earlier in general) but Jaray had to run back to catch it on the 2 yard line.

His deep balls haven’t been great this year. Oddly enough that’s what he was so good at at Arizona State but other than that throw to Jenkins against Florida his deep ball has been iffy. That being said I’m not going to complain about Daniels at all. The dude is arguably giving us the best QB play in the last decade other than Joe.

At least he's giving his receivers a chance to make plays. That's what we want. He's doing a great job right now.
Posted on 10/27/22 at 6:14 pm to Jasonwilliamstaxes28
What was the result?
That's all I 'm concerned about.

I’ve talked about it and gotten so much shite for it. People are just looking at his stats and not watching the games. He throws behind receivers and cannot hit them in stride. He even missed a pass when a dude was standing still.
