I'm thinking the scoop is just more Rant b.s. that LSU fans say about every coach:

He has favorites
He never plays the right guys
He has a shitty off camera personality
He is too hard on his players
He is too soft on his players
He protects his players too much
He throws his players under the bus
I have a ........... who played for him and he told me he is a butt
He makes too much money

Sort of plug and play scoop.

Original bitching isn't a Rant strong point.

Maybe because he plays favorites and leaves the second best hitter on the bench when the team can't score a single run.

You could make an argument PM is winning, but it's the argument that was being used for Les too, and like that one it is starting to spring a leak. Not a big one, but one you hardly notice till it's too late.....or not. I'm pulling for PM on this one but the similarities seem genuine to me.

Skip was hard on players to their face in private.

CPM is hard on players through the media.

That's the difference between a coach that is hard on you and an a-hole

Skip was hard on them, and not afraid to rip into a player, but all the players knew that what he was telling them was correct. They respected his coaching ability. They knew that if Skip called for a fastball inside, then if the pitcher located that pitch he would get an out. They knew that if Skip called for a base runner to steal second base, there was a good chance he'd be safe. The players didn't doubt Skip's decision making. I don't think that is the same for the players under the current staff.

CPM reminds me of Curley Hallman!
