That post was in response to a poster claiming he would be embarrassed if LSU won a BCSNCG with a mulligan like Bama did last year.

I would.

Despite having 2 losses, our team earned it whether or not you want to believe it. Our 2007 team had to do three things the 2011 Bama team didn't do in order to play OSU.

I agree with the other fans, I would never want LSU to be one of "those" teams like Bama that gets by purely on name only. 2011 Bama did NOTHING to warrant a Mulligan. Their schedule was weak, they had ONE big game all year AT HOME, and lost it. How did they "earn" it? The media entity that owns CFB brought their coach on one of their most popular shows to beg for a second chance to beat a team they couldn't beat the first time with every advantage in the world. Shameless. But then again, this is Bama we are talking about. LOL

Alabama and lsu ARE NOT EQUALY TALENTED. sorry, that has been bothering me lately. Bama has far and away more talent then anyone now.

Bama

USC Texas Florida Lsu Georgia Oklahoma

Why Dreaux ? Because Rivals and Scout say so ?

Les and his staff find the gems of Louisiana every year that these recruiting services overlook.
Benny Logan, Mathieu, Tharold Simon, Mo Claiborne etc. etc.

Maybe Miles and his staff should put out their own Louisiana recruiting service and Rivals and Scout should just copy and paste. I mean, if results are what we really want here.

As a fan, I'll take a Natty any way I can get one. 2 losses, mulligan, no conference champ, whatever.

Sucks we had to play them twice, would have loved to see OSU go against our defense but it didn't happen. We lost and looked bad doing it.

I know this is not a popular sentiment to some, but we need to let 1/9 go. Most coaches say don't let one loss become two. We lost on 1/9 but that has not shite to do with this year.

I wouldn't care if we were the first 3 loss team to win one

Understand, I don't care about the "2 Loss" title simply because it wasn't like LSU was put in over a 1 loss team or something like that. We were, by default, the best option. We won our conference, beat 5 top 15 teams, etc.

As a fan of CFB overall, the mulligan/no conference champ/media darling entries are what bother me. It ruins the sport. For that reason, I don't want LSU to become what teams like Bama, USC, OU, OSU, and UT (to some extent) have become. Getting something for nothing is not how life is supposed to work.

Top to bottom, nobody matches up with Bama athlete-wise like LSU right now.

And vice-versa.
