Because he didn't want to start him later in the game. Do you consider this an intelligent question? Think before you post.

Why not. He thought he was ready.

Hill had a lot of baggage coming in

I think LF did a great job as a kick returner
Really? I wasn't real impressed with his kick returning. He's not even in the top 30 so far this year, and his average would have ranked 50th last year. It's not bad, but it seemed to have a long ways to go before I would call it "great". And he's young, so he's got a great chance to get there, I just don't think his kick returning is there yet. I was disappointed in his vision, particularly. He seemed to run right at the coverage guy every time.

Because when you have "the next Adrian Peterson" you get him on the field.

He wanted to finally prove he was not winning with Saban's talent?

He played him because he played him, sometimes folks think too much. LF had good practices so he got PT.

Because LF has to get experience asap. We have 3 RBs on the team including him.

Because could you imagine this place, and every other gathering of LSU fans, had he not played a snap?

Now we know what he is - talented but raw, a work in progress

Because like all the rest of us - he looked good in practice and we thought he we was ready- He still is a great player but has to get his timing down and realize this is not Friday night HS ball. He cannot just power over everyone- Give CLM and LF a break on this one

He will be ready

a Boss? He is LSU's future Heisman running back. Why shouldn't he play?

By the end of this season, everyone will know how good this kid is. To judge him, or any other player, after one game is a mistake. He will blow up for a score this year and it will all be over.

And to answer the question, we have 4 scholarship RBs, and they will all play this year out of necessity.

Was there some kind of voluntary massive head-wound event that I missed? Questions like the one posed as the topic of this thread are the product of a severely impaired brain.

He got touches to get introduced to game speed and to gain experience. He is a solid addition to the offense.

Hill was not the consensus #1 RB recruit. As scary as it sounds, Hill is only 75% of the back LF will be...LF has "it"

Honestly, because he didn't want to become a Tiger to sit and wait. I guarantee other schools would have played him this early. Moreover, LF knew he didn't have to sit and wait if he didn't want to. That's why you are being recruited. It's not just for the advantage of the institution.

What a question. I've got one "why do you think Miles played Quinn so early?" Don't be shocked when the answers are similar.

For one, Hill hadn't played or practiced football for a whole year. For another, we had a 4th year junior, 2 true juniors, and two sophomore in front of him. Four of them had at least 330 yards and 7 TDs the year before. Three of them had at least 500 yards, and two had at least 700 yards.

He also has way more skill.
