Given Miles' predilections for a run-oriented offense, are you sure Mett will be his first choice?

think about this for just a moment.

It's too early to tell, isn't it? Just as it's too early to predict Mett will be the starting QB lighting up the field with 50 yard passing routes.

Honestly, I don't assume that. I really don't. I think Miles has earned my distrust in this department.

But, it isn't worth getting tied in knots about until it actually happens or not.

Miles isn't starting a red-shirt freshman at QB.

You just go with the best information you have. He was the best behind Lee/JJ according to the coaches this year.
Everyone who has seen him said he is legit.
He might have started had he remained at Georgia two years ago.

Why do you think he would somehow get worse and the average talent behind him would somehow become great?
Or are you just using this thread to make a point about Miles not running your kind of offense next year?

Andrew Luck was in a run oriented offense too. Just because it's run oriented doesn't mean the QB is the one doing all the running.

Funny how short peoples' memories are. I seem to remember quite a bit of passing with JR, MF, and JL's first year.

because we're not even going to have a run game next season. Our backfield will consist of Mett, Randall, Shep, and Rivers will come in when we need a fullback to block

Because Rivers is less mobile.

Miles early years, before he could completely install his Bo-Shem scheme?
