I have to agree with the OP. We are by gawd L S U.Tulane ought to give us their home gate and concessions just for the honor of us playing in their stadium. It's not like big name teams are begging to play there. If they want the cream of the crop in their yard, it is they who should pay.

I hope they get good again and LSU v. Tulane can play in the Superdome and pack 20,000+ again.

if Tulane keeps these antics up I will never applaud their mighty efforts in the Box. Ever!

Syracuse is a conference game. Notre Dame didn't demand that it be played anywhere. They were going wherever the league told them to.

"Conference" game. And ND held a lot of cards in that deal with the ACC. They wanted the game at MetLife. They wanted to be in big markets for their games.

Can the Superdome still hold baseball games with the new seating renovations?

Edit: According to wiki, it cannot:

quote:

When the plaza level seats remained moveable, the capacity for baseball was 63,525 and the field size was as followed: 325 feet to both left field and right field, 365 feet to both left-center field and right-center field, 421 feet to center field, and 60 to the backstop. Due to the reconfiguration of the lower bowl that began in 2011, the stadium can no longer host baseball games.

No baseball in the superdome any more.

Zephyr did unforgiveable gouging to Tulane after Hurricane Katrina

I used to really like that thrid game where the schools split the gate evenly on a nuetral site. It made for a true series.

This is the first sellout in several years against LSU at home and its all because LSU is #1 and Tulane has a decent squad again.

Not this year. When one team sucks. And tickets cost $30.

Would tickets still be $30 if they moved it to Zephyr Field?

If so, then I do agree- it would be under 4K.

Damn, those games in 2002 and 2004 had an awesome atmosphere for a college baseball game.

Not to mention the Busch/Winn Dixie Classic.

Most likely if Tulane wanted to make any money.

Patrick Duester (3-1, 0.34 ERA) is the mid week pitcher for Tulane.

Merrill, Gibbs, and Yandel are the weekend starters

This thread is giving the Tulane fans on gotula.net and yogwf.com a good chuckle.
