If I was a coach I’d think Saban won a natty there, and two less than elite coaches won national championships there, and so can I despite all of our dysfunction. I would want to coach where the fans expect to win every single game when the Tigers take the field. I believe if we field teams that are competitive even in a loss most LSU fans are reasonable to deal with long as the coaches aren’t doing idiot stuff. A sharp coach that wins could be beloved and embraced by our fanbase. It’s time we find our Bear Bryant and Nick Saban that comes in and wins for a very long time. The right coach could be a legend and retire here as the goat of LSU.

Because most people on national level are looking at this through the lens of politics. They’re not peeling back any layers.

It’s so much “who would want to go to LSU?”,
but more like “who would want to leave a slighly less paying, but stable job for one that pays more with greater resources and chance of success, but is an unstable political shite show?”

Because it doesn’t need to be out in the open. JBE didn’t expose the process, because there is no benefit to putting the process on blast, especially because this specific issue becomes a question. It’s not political buddy, don’t make it. It’s just stupid

quote:

Coaches want (gasp) alignment in a program. LSU has no AD, the AD they will have isn't hiring this coach, they have no President, and the Governor says that all of the coach's agents need to be investigated and is against giving them a standard contract that all coaches get.

Its been TWO DAYS. We will have a highly regarded AD by Thursday of next week. Unless its Saban, we wont have a head football coach hired until December or January.

The panicking over "alignment" is ridiculous.
