Fitz was fighting it. It's like the ref saw some bone crushing hit or at least it was part if the ruse. Never seen a ref take a qb out without a very visible reaction to a collision. Fishy stuff all the way around.

He appeared to questioning them, like WTF are y’all doing? They appeared to be all in a hurry to say get off the field so we can make this call.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if they call targeting the player that is presumably being targergeted has to sit out atleast a play

No, I don't think there is a rule that says a targetted player has to leave the game for a play. It wouldn't make any sense to have such a rule if the player is not injured at all. Then again, half the rules don't make sense.
