There’s a difference in killing a kid and letting him throw a few innings

Run their top arms??? It’s potentially the last game of the year? There is literally no tomorrow if you don’t win. It’s not like Hilliard will pitch at the next level. This is where it is. Why are y’all so apologetic for this crap?

None of those guys are Hilliard. If DVH and Bianco want to ruin their top arms then by all means go ahead.
DVH and Bianco will be playing next weekend while you're watching them on TV. But keep on defending PM.

How many innings do you think he was going to throw tonight after throwing 70 pitches two days ago? People like Floyd were going to have to pitch at some point.

The answer is more than one when he's dealing. Give me a fricking break

I would have left Coleman in longer last night. Limits Fontenot now too

Apologetic? We have no idea what went on in the dugout, bullpen, practice, team meetings, etc. For all you know Hilliard might have come off the field and told CPM he was done. This game is far from over and some of y’all can’t sit back and watch a damn game without coming on here and melting all over the board.

I’m going to be watching the Tigers because this game isn’t over yet, and you’re still going to be bitching on the internet about how terrible of a coach CPM is.

Its not the number of innings its the number of pitches. Hilliard could have thrown 30-40 pitches tonight. Maybe a few more. He threw 13 in the first inning. He definitely could have pitched to a few more batters

Hilliard threw 60 pitches 2 days ago. He was never going deep, and rightfully so.

How could you possibly know this?

Not going to take a chance hurting his arm with the amount of pitches he has thrown in this regional

Yes he will dude; are you serious? He’s a third/fourth round pick all day. May not make it to the show; but he will definitely get his due in MiLB

Throughout his career at LSU he has never managed pitchers well. Either leaves them in too long or puts them in bad situations that they arent ready for like with Floyd and Fowler tonight.
