Gary knows how to coach. Just look at how he changed shirts at halftime. Almost as good as eating grass.

I like how these threads are quick to jump on coaches based on a bowl game, while LSU's current coach is 3-4 the past 7 bowls

The real irony is that Miles has defeated both Patterson and Kelly; something negas like you are quick to ignore.

TCU was 4-8 that year

I sure as hell wouldn't have taken LSU over TCU last year, nor this year probably

They tend to do that... like the previous 4 wins in a row before that Negatards chosen 7 game stretch.

Cherry picking

After winning 10 and 11 games the previous 2 years.

Actually, he won 7 the prior year, and 10 and 11 the years before that one. And his team's were ranked 2, 6, 13. Surely they were good enough to win games in the big 12. Hell, they have one of the easiest schedules in the country typically. They should have been able to rent a win to 6 games.

And Miles had 13, 10, 10 wins before having 8 and 9(*10) win seasons and you tards were screaming for Patterson.

quote:

IN. THE. BIG 12. His second year in a major conference after starting out in the WAC. Three years after winning the Rose Bowl as part of the MWC.

Again, do you know what his teams in the MWC were ranked? Do you realize how pathetic the Big 12 has been? You can't crow about winning the rose bowl and then say he had to play in tough conference, thus the reason for the 4-8 record. Either it was a fluke that they won the rose, and no sense bringing it up, or they deserved to win it and he just had teams that progressively got worse due to his coaching and not the conference they joined.

You guys just don't get the irony in this. On one had, you complain because we are "declining" and Les will never again be able to win anything of note because the declining record proves he is done. On the other, you want to bring in a coach who had a much worse decline and was able to bring his team out of it. Had that guy done the same thing here, he wouldn't have had a prayer to right the ship like he did at TCU. Yalls very insistence on his being a great coach because he was able to right the ship is exactly the reason why your argument against Les is idiotic.

Like when you cherry picked a couple of down seasons for Patterson without an sort of context?

Why does everything have to turn into a pissing match?

Patterson is a great coach, and Les is a great coach.

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?!?!

Multiple times. But didn't you know if the Negatards had their way GP would be at LSU and he would win EVERY game against Saban.

Fricking this!

The sensitivity of the few who are bashing Gary is incredible though.

Uh, no. We're referring to his first several years at TCU, remember?

Link to when I was "screaming for Patterson?" And you do realize that, again, Miles took over a team 1 year removed from a natty while Patterson took over a team from the freaking WAC. Why doesn't that seem to register with you guys?

This is the most illogical thing I've ever read. You're simply try really hard to discredit his accomplishments because you're insecure about Les. okay.

What was Miles' record in the Big 12, btw?
