Not unfortunate at all.

Look, I agree with you about the Miles/Patterson thingamajiggy.

But to say the guy belongs in the MAC is crazy! And a mark of a good coach is what he does with inferior talent. Which he is now doing allot better with as a result from his good coaching.

I'll argue the MLB position is the easiest read on the defense all night; but not this.

No one's ignoring that he had a couple of bad seasons in his career.

However, you said in an earlier post:

"He has more bad seasons than great seasons overall."

Did you not?

As another poster pointed out, he's had 9 11 win seasons out of 15 years. How the hell is that more bad seasons than great? Does he have to go unbeaten for it to be a great season?

I don't think I said he belongs in the MAC. If I did, I apologize as it was just teasing.

Here's an example of the "whole picture" I look at... Did you, or any of the GP fanbois, realize GP has a 21-15 conference record since joining the "Little12"?

Thats not even the top 2 conferences. That's in the little12 conf.

And, apparently, Miles' record only counts once he started at LSU.

Well in most negatards opinion, a double digit season isn't that great considering Miles has done it often.

I also said GP has had 5 seasons as bad or worse tham Miles WORST. So, no... it's NOT just 2 bad seasons. And as said already, most of those good seasons have come in the MWC. But whatever.

Same thing everyone is saying about Aranda (those who are negative about the hire), but put them with more talent and they will succeed.

Because of where the LSU Football program is right now, and how crucial stability means to the program; I take Miles.

This is true, but they're 23-3 overall the last two years and they finished ranked #3 last year. Miles went 16-16 in his four years in the Big 12. And for the record, I think Miles did a good job there.

You realize that Fournette and Harris have only been at LSU two years, right? Miles has had success before them and will most likely with them. You Might have the most retarded post in this dumpster fire of a thread.

Your answer to his comment makes no damn sense. If you remove the two best players off any team during that season or particular game/s how would any of them do?

To AGAIN address some people on TCU's situation this year. It's miraculous that they finished with an 11-2 record. (not speaking specifically to you, just in general).

I am really surprised at how they could win 11 games like that did. Cut the crap about what conference he plays in.

1 - He's ranked 5th, 6th, 7th, and 7th, In consecutive recruiting classes in his own conference. He talked about having to use walk on at several places.

2. He lost 4-5 defensive starters within the first 4 games of the season.

3- His heisman level QB was out for a game with injury and out for this game on suspension. He has 3575 pass yards at 9.0 ypa 31 TDs 10 ints completing 65% of his passes, WITH 612 rush yards at 5.0 ypa and 9 TDs in only 11 games. He also lost his 2nd best player 10 games in (all American that was on pace for 103 receptions 1777 yards and 18 TDs).

4. After his leading senior WR who got hurt 10 games in, his next 5 leading pass catchers are freshman WR, senior WR, freshman RB, sophomore WR, freshman WR, sophomore WR.

So miles struggles through the big (or little) 12 but then becomes an sec legend?

Hmmm...

He certainly did. And had more competition back then. The little12 had 4 double digit win teams on 04. And we all know how much emphasis the GP fanbois put on double digit wins since thats all GP has. ;)

IKR and take 23 players (4 yr span) early off the TCU roster and then place them in the SEC and let me know how good a coach Patterson is.

Give Miles 5th, 6th, 7th, and 7th ranked recruiting classes in the Big 12 with their ridiculous spread offenses everywhere and you'll see just how much Miles can be blown out. Think worst than Charlie Strong at Texas right now. If you think just pounding the ball all game will beat Big 12 teams with bottom half Big 12 talent on your roster, you are a got damn fool.

Exactly, LSU had their share of injuries this season.

Miles had MUCH worse classes than that during his time in the little12, and had greater competition back then, and did pretty well.

How many times has Miles been blown out by a Little 12 spread offense?

Maybe I just remember a simpler time when TCU football sucked, but I can't understand how anyone can look at Gary's record and be McKayla Maroney-level unimpressed.

This board never ceases to amaze.

It all started because OP had to talk shite before the game was over.

Never talk shite before the game is over.
