It's hard to say when they coach in two different conferences under different circumstances. Les did a good job at Oklahoma State, but the highest he finished in 4 years there was 3rd in his own division. Patterson tied for 1st last year in the Big 12 (finishing ranked #3 in the nation) and finished tied for 2nd this year in his first four years.

The dude coached his team back from a 31-0 deficit with a backup QB and won (matching the biggest bowl comeback in history) - big props for that. He's a good coach. TCU has 15 bowl wins in their history and he has 9 of them.

So, you're saying that logic dictates it would be prudent to fire a coach for losing 3 games, and replacing him with a coach, that had he had the record here that he did at his previous stop that we would have fired him too?
