Bring in one of them and start the other pitcher tomorrow. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed with the way we swinging the bats even with both Cowan and Evans going tomorrow. I just do t get it

Had we taken the lead last night I assure you, Evans would have come in. But if you bring him in last night still down, and the bats stay cold, congrats, you just burned Evans for nothing. As it stands now we have both Cowan and Evans available and I’m pretty sure that’s enough for 6 solid innings at the very least today. Otherwise you’re relying on a shaky bullpen to pick up the scraps after Noot and Cowan.

It makes sense.

We are 3-5 over our last 8 conference games, and 4-6 overall over our last 10. A loss today makes that 3-6 and 4-7

Josh,

Sorry, I guess we did not pitch in the midweek loss? The topic is why can’t we hit? Keep up.

LSU needs hitters that can just hit and get on base like Antoine Duplantis and Tre Morgan. They didn’t swing for the fence at every at bat. Just hit the ball!!!

I just think we have a few developmental issues with players. The ability Too! I think the portal both incoming and outgoing can prove it. They struggle here and thrive elsewhere or thrive elsewhere and struggle here. There are a few notable exceptions of course but not every budding star comes to BR and thrives. It’s just a hard process to manage.

Yall need to get used to it for a few weeks. We are facing 3 of the best pitching teams in the country this weekend, next weekend, and the following

That would be understandable if we hadn’t seen the LSU hitters look just as lost at the plate against the previous 3 middle of the pack sec opponents. Something is not working with our approach at the plate. Our hitters are not working counts and stretching out the opponents bullpen. How many times did the Tennessee pitchers have to throw less than 10 pitches in an inning to get back to the dugout?

You do realize that Jay is not the only coach? While they are limited on how many people you can name an on field coach, there are plenty of assistants that do just these things.

agree - CJJ appears to need elite out of the portal cause they can't develop well enough. Also I think some of these guys are pressing because it's their draft year or last year in the program....think about it - this year you lose: Braswell, Pearson, Bear, Dickinson, Louis, Stanfield and potentially Frey.
