Why can't we defend the 3 better?

Is it scheme? Effort? Player development? We have the speed, length, athleticism, etc.

Wade never focused on perimeter defense. Cannot learn it this late in season. Just have to hope we don’t run into a team that gets hot from three.

No, man, it's called lazy defense. You can tell the players what they need to do as a coach, but it's up to them to go out and execute it. You just can't let someone pull up and shoot a 3 uncontested.

So it seems the brain trust of this board thinks we can defend the 3 well for 37 minutes, and it's OK to give them up at the end, even if it was a one-possession game. Yeah, I can see why you'd be good with that.

I don't know what y'all were watching, but they weren't contested. If they were they wouldn't be able to get the shot off or it would be difficult to. Y'alls definition of contested is a lot different from mine.
