already done that on the prior 4 pages of posts.[/quote]
Well I don't know if you are counting you as We or reading all the posts but it appears to me there are quite a few that agree Lee is doing pretty well for a RS soph

Understatement of the year.

Most freshmen do not come into the talent of the playmakers and o-line as he has.

Bernie Kosar - won an NC as a freshman
Jamelle Holieway - won an NC as a freshman AND in the process booted Troy Aikman to UCLA
Michael Vick - led VT to the NC game as a freshman
Chad Henne - led Michigan to a 9-2 record and a Rose Bowl berth as a freshman and was named to the Freshman All-American team.
There's more... lots more.
If you're trying to prove that it's a good thing to have a freshman as a starting QB, you're fighting a losing battle. For every 10 names you pull out of guys who have succeeded, there are countless names of guys who have struggled. Now, you want to really talk. Name the freshmen QB's who started, struggled, then developed into a really good QB late..guys like say JPW who Bama fans wanted to dump early on. That's a much more realistic discussion.

And Florida lost 4 games Chris Leak's freshman year, I think.
They lost a lot of game, but from what I remember their defense was shite that year.
And ours is playing lights out huh?

How about Notre Dame great QB he threw his 15th int sat and hes in his jr year so lee is not the only one with problems

damn you are dumb. their oline and playmakers are nowhere near lsu's right now. Lee would have 30 ints fir them. while jc would have 1 loss for lsu.

My vote is for lack of competency.

I guess my problem is that even with the spring, 4 weeks in preseason and 10 weeks of regular season he still forces the ball instead of throwing it away. Last week I saw him throw into double coverage on 1st down and then he throws the ball away on 4th down. It is so frustating!!!

TT is ranked #98 in this category. The BCS computers have them ranked #1. Texas is #110.
Stats are not the end-all be-all. Those defenses have a problem defending the pass because THEY PLAY AGAINST THE BEST QB'S IN THE NATION WEEKLY. Do you honestly think that the SEC teams this year would fare well against TT, UT, OK, hell Mizzou or Kansas? We would consistently get torched. In the SEC most teams play solid D and run the ball. There are no prolific passing teams. Miss St. got molly-whomped trying to defend GA. Tech triple option. Auburn went up 10-0 on W.V. and got raped. Arky has played decent in conference but I'm sure they don't dare mention their game against Texas. Tenn. played close with UGA and Aub. but couldn't handle Wyoming, the same team that non-bcs schools have BLOWN OUT! Sec is down this year, UF is strong and could play with and defeat ANY team in the nation. Bama and UGA is decent and could play with some teams also. That's it!

Yeah because Terrelle Pryor was just lights out awesome last game with 48 passing yards...

Exactly. Even Jamarcus split time w/ Marcus Randall his RS freshman year, and Randall was pretty terible. Im not saying Lee is another #1 overall draft pick but give him some time.

What realistic alternative would you suggest for LSU at QB?
I cant think of any. Why not support JLee until a better alternative comes along.
