Like the Clemson OC said, Miles thinks playaction is a trick play... he probably thinks a screen pass is too gimmicky so they never practice it.

That one screen play summed up our offense perfectly. Threw it right into the back of a defensive lineman

Because we don't practice it and we don't run it.

Where the frick are yall getting this crap about windups and bad throwing motion because it totally untrue. Also we have completed damn near 90 plus percent of screens called. The problem is our oline is terrible at it. Why u think we run the bubbles which are a harder to complete.

You are exactly right, Harris can't complete short passes. Very inaccurate at throwing any type of short passes. We've had some open all year and Harris is pitiful at throwing the short pass.

coaching,

definitely part of it

could be but this has been an issue prior to BH

a poor job of our O-line "selling" the screen

well they let them through on normal play action so I am not sure this is part of it

then the coaches should have Harris practice those types of throws - over and over and over again. In spring practice, fall camp, and in-season. Throws hundreds and hundreds of those passes.

It truly makes me wonder what we do at practice. And that's a serious question - what exactly do we work on at practice? Because we don't seem to make any progress.

And that falls squarely on the coaches.

Because we've had so much success with the toss dive run, then power run, then pass formula for years; obviously. Who needs to practice screens and passes to the tight end and continue to develop the jet sweep package and disciplined defensive secondary and offensive line blocking and punt/kick coverage when you can rely on your running game? Did I miss anything that we don't need?

You really think they aren't practiced, don't you?

reps in practice are better than reps in games? we never use rent a wins to "practice" anything besides our power running

I have no doubt they're practiced, but I wonder how much.

I too often see no improvement from week-to-week (or even season-to-season) so I honestly would love to know what we actually do at practice. Serious question.

Either all LSU players are physically and/or mentally incapable of running screens, or it's coaching.

LSU has a better D to rep against than rent-a-wins.
Coaches already know what you the avg fan doesn't when it comes game time, and put together a gameplan/playsheet with the best plays vs your opp, not shite you need to work on.
Practice is there for practice, and games are there for winning.
