You're completely wrong. NBC has the thanksgiving night game.

Yeah, the NBC move is a big deal TV wise. NFLN is still a somewhat-limited cable network that doesn't reach everywhere. But going up against an OTA channel is a whole different animal

Yes, I see now.

Like I said, it's still stupid.

LSU isn't Louisville or Cincinnati

They shouldn't be made to play on a Thursday night other than a season opener on the road like in 07

It's not our fault your family thinks you suck and don't care if you're around for holidays.
Normal families do care about this sort of thing.

Fwiw I don't care when they play it there, I hate Friday games.... Hope the return trip is on Saturday night.

Heaven forbid a FBS conference didn't take into consideration your Thanksgiving plans.

Not that it matters to anyone else for the most part, but I don't like it because I'm engaged to an Aggie. Going to these games will be something we do every year. It sucks knowing that every other year, Thanksgiving dinner won't be the traditional meal that it usually is. I will still go to the games in College Station, but combining the game and Thanksgiving doesn't make the other better, they take away from each other.

That's a pretty terrible argument. UT and A&M played for a number of years on Thanksgiving night when they were competing for titles. UT is not "Louisville or Cincinnati" either.

and that gametime always struck me as surprisingly bush league for UT-A&M.

Egg Bowl? sure.

Top national teams. not so much.

It doesn't matter how it struck you. They still played on Thanksgiving night. Fans still showed up for both teams. If the Thursday night game isn't for you, don't go. There will still be fans there to support LSU.

The fans buying 90% of the tickets to this game want it on Thanksgiving.
