Then, why turn on the TV, just turn on the radio. What's the big deal?

What ever happened to "Saturday Night in Death Valley"??

We became relevant again.

Were we not relevant last year? Were we not relevant when we won the national championship?

Because last year, when we were as apposite as apposite could be,, we had three huge home night games (VT, Florida, Auburn).

Night games and national relevance are not mutually exclusive. It's a false dichotomy, an excluded middle.

If you want untelevised 3 hour games that start at the same time every week, then become a Tulane fan.

This new CBS deal is great for LSU and the SEC. Don't like the announcers? Hit mute and/or listen to the radio broadcast. The revenue and the exposure on the cadillac (historically speaking) of major network television is going to pay big dividends for the LSU football program in countless ways. If you were paying attention in the early and late 1990s, you know how far this program has come. I don't ever want to relive those dismal seasons.

I have no problem with longer games. I enjoy the games, so why would I want them to be any shorter? It's not like the games were any shorter for UK and Ark last fall. And the added length due to replay doesn't bother me. Anything to avoid what happened at Auburn in 2006. If it takes 15 minutes to get a call right, so be it.

[quote] Taking nothing from Arkansas but I think we would have won that game if not for all the TV timeouts and officiating. The TD pass to Hester that was called back is one of the worst call's ever.]/quote]
Are you seriously blaming that penalty on television coverage?

Or are you saying it was a straight-up bad call?

Either one is vastly incorrect. Doucet lined up wrong. Penalty.

Good grief.

And whoever wants LSU to continue to recruit more around the country... and get more media respect

Can't say enough about a game like LSU vs Va Tech last year... destroying them got LSU into the national championship game among other benefits

yep, it really sucks to be able to watch LSU on TV 8 to 10 times each year

I miss the days when we had that one game a year on

I'd rather watch LSU at 11 am on TV than not at all

If you cant get enough to drink by 2:30 kickoff, start earlier
