The tigers that are selected to be used as mascots are not taken out of the wild. They were born in captivity and will remain in captivity. They can not be released back to the wild because they would not survive. Getting selected to be the next Mike is like winning the lottery for these tigers.

Sorry you enjoy being irked.
Since you admit that you don't know crap, why do you feel your opinion is worth your time.
Supposedly its been proven that new born animals are affected by their environment from the moment the are born or hatched. Baby birds will follow and mimic whatever species that hatches them. Baby mammals will adopt whatever animal that nurses them.
It makes sense to me that an animal born and raised in captivity will adapt and be content in a layout like "Mikes Palace".
For you enlightenment I suggest that you see Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

I googled the shite out of it and I couldn't find anything to support PETA or support Tigers in captivity.
The results are in and determined that was a lie.
What an ignoramus you are. I don't agree with everything in these articles, but I'm using them to prove a point.

PETA says..."don't take into captivity....not fair. Let them die to extinction out in the wild like they are supposed to be."
"screw the fact that you may have found a rescue that cannot be released into the wild....let that one die in captivity where it is."
