Any of those guys who were offered a substantial raise in pay to go to another network would jump and not think twice. It’s hypocritical to blame BK for doing the same.

The national media is upset because Brian Kelly had the nerve to leave the "storied" program of Notre Dame. That is an unforgivable sin.
How would you like to be a Florida fan. LSU 's new coach is from Notre Dame and Florida's from Southwestern Louisiana University.

I can think of 3 reasons
1) they have to create controversy, it's how networks make money.
2) ND has a huge following, ie potential audience
3) $$$$ see 1&2. It has nothing to do with LSU

Gotcha. But we just began “this century” 21 years ago. Still a long way to go lol. just not how i would have worded it but to each their own.

He is literally paid to take the opposite position of the person on the other side of the table.
It's not real.

21 years is a good amount of time…literally decades. A long amount of time for ND, a historic blue blood of CFB, to go without a national title.
I love to mention to other teams that we have the second most titles this century (even millennium) when talking shite to other schools not named bama lol.

Opinions. Stop being so small.

Emmanuel Acho going in on Brian Kelly saying that ND has more talent than LSU and plays in bigger primetime games than LSU
Cool, work your arse off, become the coach of Notre Dame, win a bunch of games there and when LSU calls you, give them the finger. Kelley did all that (except the finger) and then decided LSU was the better gig. His life, his decision.

I've seen some positive about the hire, some negative. These debate shows need topics where people take different sides of the argument.
quote:Do you know how long I've tried to get this through my brother's thick skull? He's always texting me saying "did you see what so and so media pundit said about so and so player/coach/team"?
The sooner you guys understand these guys are paid to read off a script and that debates need at least two sides to sell conflict, the sooner you guys will stop caring so much or taking offense to what they say. You can't just have a panel where everyone agrees with each other and has the same takes, that doesn't draw as many eyes or garner many clicks.
quote:Ehh on this though, Shannon is WAY more speaking through his beliefs. I've listened to him long enough to understand that he doesn't pick a side just to argue a point. He has a lot of common sense about stuff. It's scary how much I agree with him compared to any other media guys.
Shannon Sharpe says he understands why Kelly went because LSU can get a different kind of athlete, Skip Bayless says ND is the gold standard of CFP, yadda yadda
Skip's answer falls in line with his character. Whether he's playing a character, or that's how he is. You can tell from a mile away, what his stance is on just about anything sports related.

Acho is just caffeine free Shannon Sharpe. Both are warped and idiotic but one is much more friendly than the other.

2019 we got ALL the PLUBICITY ! So we are good ! They gotta take every side of what they think. F Em it's their job I guess ?

As far as Acho....I mean it's a debate show. One person takes a position on a topic and the other one takes the other point. Acho really doesn't believe most of what he is saying on this.

The old nasty SEC stole one of their national brand coaches and theyre running around like a bunch of butthurt bitches.

It’s part of the act. Producer says “You take pro-Kelly, you take anti-Kelly. Here are the talking points for each of you.”
Quit watching “debate” and “opinion” TV shows. You’ll save time and your brain will be better for not watching them. And if enough people did this, Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd wouldn’t be millionaires and Emmanuel Acho would have to go find another way to be in the public eye.

While I love watching the media melt, did BK sleep with their wives or something? Or does the media just like sucking off ND that much?
It’s like watching Norma Desmond from Sunset Blvd parade herself around like she’s still the belle of the ball, and everyone cares about her and what she has to say.
They’re dinosaurs. Die dinosaur. Die.

It’s the reality that the SEC IS college football and certain media outlets are not aligned with the Sec so they have to take shots.
