You seem to be projecting, not sure where you are seeing anger on this board.

Not that I think LSU will be that great this year, but they're preseason rankings for a reason. Preseason rankings are almost ALWAYS wrong.

It's not anger, necessarily. it's my guy politics applied to a coach.

Because if they play to their potential and have good luck with injuries, they should win at least 9 or 10 games

How many preseason #25s win 10 games?

I doubt many are seriously expecting to win 10 games. What is being said is that if we had a halfway decent coaching staff, we would be able to win 10 games. Being ranked as the 6th most talented team in the country has to be acknowledged. I know all the Otards want to try and pretend that we are not really that talented of a team but that’s just not the case. LSU is absolutely talented enough to win a national championship right now. The question (and the reason no one is taking us seriously) is, can the coaching staff game plan well enough to win?

When he doesnt meet it they can claim that was the expectation and call for his head.

That was the fricking expectation under Les Miles. He was fired because he kept going 9-3/8-4. Why are you lowering the standard for Orgeron?

The standard can be "better than miles"

But to demand it right now or else you get the axe is ridiculous.

Habit, I'd guess. People are used to it, just assume it will always continue.

I'd guess that the fans that are genuinely confused on why Miami's favored, comes from this group.

Then there's the group that "expects" 9-10 wins, OR ELSE. They don't really see that number happening, but if the team doesn't reach it they will demand firings.

Y'see, it hinges on the word "expects", as compared to "predicts".

Orgeron was hired on the premise of continuity and immediate success.

Losing more games than your predecessor who was fired FOR LOSING GAMES should be something that gets YOU fired.

No, we know exactly why they are favored.

Here, I’ll tell you in a manner in which you cheeri’Os are used to.

Give me an O!
Give me an R!
Give me a G!
Give me an E!
Give me an R!
Give me an O!
Give me an N!
What’s that spell?

easy, hoss. I'm not an O lover. And yes, I agree, he's gonna wreck the program if given the time.

The people I referred to, those who are surprised Miami's favored, are the people who just casually follow the team, and expect things to keep rolling right along, no matter who's in charge.
You know, the "even a blind monkey could win 10 games with this talent" guys.
