Who’s your pick for new OC if Brady takes an NFL job?

I think mine is Hugh Freeze. The man has had some short comings, but has worked through it. Obviously one of the great football minds, and I think we could get him for the same or maybe a little more than we’re paying Brady.

No telling who’s available next year or the year after that

But they are going to keep ensminger and bring in another young passing game coordinator (to continually bring in new concepts), and see if the guy is any good before giving him the OC job. Rinse repeat.

Brady is the next OC at LSU, period. En hangs out a couple more years. Brady never leaves LSU. EVER. He will pick his teeth with Saban's bones before he is done. Long after we are dead.

OK. I fixed it. Thank you for reminding me of my age and sobriety level. I owe you, bro.

IF Brady leaves later this year we won't be looking for an OC, we'll be looking for a WR coach and (significantly) a PGC. The PGC now has a special significance at LSU.

But, sticking with your theme...

If I'm CEO and CSE immediately after being informed of his new contract, I'm asking Brady for his best 3 recommendations for his own replacement and introductions.

Like recognizes like. Brady will be the best source of names in this matter.

Brady is the single biggest recruit in program history. If we lose him it’s back to square 1. Nobody in the country is even close to doing what we’re doing on offense and the second game last Saturday proved it.

Why wouldn't he? He's a young guy who seems alot like Aranda in the sense that all he does is scheme up plays

I don't think he leaves this year, but it seems obvious he wont be around too terribly much longer. And whenever that time comes, I just want someone who will continue with the concepts that Brady has installed. I don't care whose name that might be.

I think the hardest thing to replace would be how he has worked with the receivers. He turned those guys into bona fide professional-type route runners, and they make such great adjustments with the ball in flight. We knew these guys were talented, but they didn't look like THAT last year. The work he did with them in the off-season does not get mentioned near enough. The people who keep trying to brush him aside and pretend that he hasn't had a HUGE impact on this offense are just being ridiculous.

Unless Brady wants an NFL gig, I can’t see him leaving. He’s not ready to be a head coach, and like everyone says, he’s in line for OC once E leaves.

If he stays for the long haul, he could be running the program himself once O retires, but that could potentially take a while.

As long as his departure isn’t messy, I’d like to think he’d be welcome back down the road.

I said “unless Brady wants an NFL gig.”

That means, I can’t see him leaving for another school, regardless of position, because it’d be a lateral move or a downgrade.
