PM's partial to his recruits so I wouldn't be so sure it's a matter of class.

Question, what do you look at in making the determination of who goes? Fielding/hitting/pitching productivity.

Batting averages...even moreso, on-base percentages would weigh in VERY heavily imo, outside of the obvious with pitchers/productivity.

There have to be at least 4 guys flunking out. That's who it will be.

I FOUND IT! I knew I read somewhere about whats going to happen with Pontiff... LINK

quote:

“It’s going to be a mutual decision between the both of us. He won’t tell me to leave, and if I leave it won’t be because of him. We respect each other, and that’s that.”

And to those who called me crazy

Pontiff won't be on the team. I'm betting on it.

well you're going to lose that bet. Pontiff will be on the team in the spring and he will be competing for the right field spot

i got ya...well it will be interesting to see who its gonna be. I just hope Mainieri doesn't catch a ton of heat for who he chooses. I mean he is in a pretty tuff position here.

I think Shane may surprise you. He was playing hurt last year and he's been to a friend of mine who's a very good pitching coach. They've tweaked his arm slot and I hear he's much improved...guess time will tell and if it's enough but don't count him out just yet.

The terrible thing about baseball. Every player thinks that need need "personal lessons". I guess LSU's pitching coach last year (current UCF head coach Terry Rooney) knew nothing.

Maybe if we could send one of LSU's struggling football players to "personal lessons" then they could get back on track. Know any good defensive back gurus out there willing to give some one-on-one lessons?
