I've heard Ed Orgeron speak about Jabril Cox and Damone Clark, but obviously that still leaves 1 Linebacker.

Would guess Bakersfield. But I think we’ll see a lot of 4-2-5, with Stevens essentially being that 3rd LBer most of the time playing in the box a good bit

I’d like to see Baskerville, Clark, Cox as our 3

We’ll only have 3 LB’s on the field in short yardage, goal line, or run formations. 5 DB’s is what you’ll see mostly. Clark and Cox seem most likely to stay on the field.

Whoever it is, they will be really good. There are some really good candidates.

Depends. They’ll be multiple. I actually think Baskerville will spell Damone in the middle a lot, especially against non-power-run teams

I think you’ll see 3 and maybe even 4 safety/nickels on the field a lot, with Stevens primarily being in the box like a LB

The best Edge rusher will play a ton in that 3rd LB spot imo. Whoever emerges. One of the freshmen have a big opportunity, Ojulari or Webb.

If O really believes Ojulari is going to be an All American then he’ll play a lot this year. The current edge rushers that have been on the team won’t stay ahead of him for long imo

The smart money is on Damone, Cox and Baskerville but I think the coaches would prefer it to be Damone, Cox and Josh White. Wether or not White will be ready for that is up in the air but the coaches obviously are in love with the kids potential because he can absolutely fly sideline to sideline.

I think it’ll be Cox, Clark, and Thornton to start out.

We’ll be 4-2-5 as base defense. Marcel Brooks would’ve been your Will Linebacker and could’ve did a lot of stuff with him due to his versatility as a LB, Safety, Edge guy but with him out id assume Baskerville gets first crack but I don’t think we’ll have 3 traditional LB’s on the field unless it’s short yardage or goal line.

Barksdale & Josh White seem to be the next 2 up.

Jared Small. Coach O has mentioned him several times.

I think Damone and Cox are your mike and sam in a 4-2-5. With Stevens being your hybrid safety/wlb when in a more traditional
4-3 look... Just like Bo has stated this defense being “multiple”. If you’re looking for a pass rushing at Will I see Ray Thornton coming in as your third linebacker in a true 4-3 look. Baskerville will be your #2 for either Mike or Sam during games. Don’t underestimate Thornton I believe he will be a key contributor on big 3rd down plays this year.
