An excellent question to ponder as you travel to the Outback Bowl. I do love those steaks.

I just don't get it, get your arse handed to you 2 yr's ( back to back) and picked to beat SC @ HOME. Why?

Ditto that. Workman went to Dublin Coffman which also graduated Brady Quinn, Chris Quinn (in NBA, not related), Buckeye recruits Mike Adams, Jake Stoneburner and others. Not bad.

Beacuse you can't base everything off of one game.
(Insert Arkansas and Kentucky, yet still having LSU picked to win the NC by most last season)

Sure, you can use last years Championship game to somewhat depict the Ohio State/USC game, but Florida would have almost nothing to do with this game. It's a whole new team.

They absolutely in no way beat USC.

Completely wrong. It's the second game of the year and USC is replacing 7 starters on offense. Ohio St has at least 2 of the top picks in next years NFL draft on defense. The USC offensive line in particular could be in for a long day. Ohio St has 9 returning starters on offense and 9 on defense. That's pretty amazing really. USC may very well lose this game....We in the SEC are too clouded by the last 2 BCS title games I think.

Hey Buckeye Fan 19, I'm moving to Dublin in a month to Copperleaf apartments off of Sawmill

How is Coffman looking for football this year?

Oh, and on topic, people seem to forget that the '06 Buckeyes traveled to #2 Texas early in the season and knocked the defending national champs off...I guess ancient history to some...

Actually, LSU was the "10th victor" because Ohio State is 7-10-1 against the SEC all time including bowl games.

1-1-1 vs. LSU

Looking forward to posting here and talking with you all during the season!!

So OSU has a 7-1-1 record against the SEC in regular season? Interesting...I learn something new everyday.

They are 3-11-1 vs the SEC, FWIW.

That would be correct:

3 wins vs. Vandy
3 wins vs. Kentucky
1 win vs. LSU
1 tie vs. LSU

The SEC was formed in 1932.

Ohio State beat Kentucky twice, once in 1919 the other in 1935.

So only one counts.

Ohio State has only played Vandy twice, once before 1932(a Loss) and once in 1933.

So that is Two wins (one vs. UK, one vs. Vandy)

And then the one vs. LSU.

That's 3-11-1.

10/14/1933 @ Ohio State L 0 20
10/10/1931 @ Ohio State W 26 21
11/13/1909 @ Ohio State L 0 5
11/14/1908 vs. Ohio State L 6 17

Vandy has played Ohio State 4 times... Ohio State is 3-1 vs Vandy

Ohio State is 2-0 against Kentucky

Ohio State is 1-1-1 against LSU

Ohio State is 0-3 vs Alabama

Ohio state is 0-1 vs. Florida

Ohio state is 1-1 vs Auburn

Ohio state is 0-2 vs. South Carolina

Ohio state is 0-1 vs. Tennesee

Ohio State is 0-1 vs. Georgia

So, we both stand corrcted...lol

That is 7-12-2 against SEC teams ALL-TIME which was stated earlier, not since "1932" Your 3-11-1 mark is correct since the form of thier conference.

Any way you slice it, it's NOT good! LOL

Vandy wasn't in the SEC before 1932.

quote:

Ohio state is 1-1 vs Auburn

Ohio State is 0-1-1 vs Auburn, but the tie was before 1932.

quote:

Ohio State is 2-0 against Kentucky

Yes they are, but only one is after 1932.

quote:

Vandy has played Ohio State 4 times... Ohio State is 3-1 vs Vandy

The website I'm look at only shows them playing twice. 1931 and 1933.
