tenberger. You're the only person trying to compare who was better as a junior, which isn't what was said.
The reason he posted a comparison of both of their junior seasons was bc he was asking who was better as juniors

Find one post of mine that even mentions Kendal Briles and I'll never post again....
Dont turn into a liar.
I've never said scheme was the only issue. I said it was the biggest and your deity agreed with me.

Great because everyone can see that I'm plainly asking you why experience was an excuse in 2018 but not 2012.
I'm in no way changing my stance. You are the one being a hypocrite. I'm just asking you why you're being that hypocrite.
Scheme was our biggest issue in 2018 and your deity agrees with me. That's why he hired someone to revamp the offense and after seeing it he said..." this is the offense I wanted".
Sure sounds like he knew he had scheme issue too.
Props to o for recognizing his schematic issues and making a change.
Now those really talented offensive players(like our last TE) will finally have the production to go along with their lofty talent.

RB, I’m going to help you since your mentor is letting you flame out tonight.
All QBs improve with experience. When you look at where the two QBs were AT THE SAME TIME in their development you can better gauge them. Burrow will have a better season than last - he had a much better second half of the season than the first. So football savvy people expect a better year out of Burrow in 2019, just like they expected more from Mett in 2013. Comparing Mett’s senior year to Burrow’s first year starting is an apples-to-oranges comparison.
You should really be mad that Ricky let you embarrass yourself tonight.

I acknowledged and agreed with this. At the end of their junior years Burrow was better. At their peak, Mettenberger was better. Overall, Mettenberger is better right now. I even acknowledged that Burrow will likely surpass Mett after next season.
Even after all of this, he still can't grasp that ignoring an entire season of data on Mett is the very definition of cherry picking stats just so he can say Burrow is better.

I don’t think it’s cheery picking since there isn’t enough data to make that comparison

Any time you choose to ignore data that’s available, you’re cherry picking what to use.
For the last time, that’s the literal meaning of the phrase.

It’s really not. Burrow hasn’t played his senior season. After he plays his senior season we can compare both seasons for each...right now you are choosing to include an extra season to say Mett is better...you do agree that if Burrow has a better senior season than Mett he would be considered a better college qb than Mett?

Why do you keep bringing up Burrow? When talking about cherry picking Mett’s stats, what burrow has done is completely irrelevant.

Correct. I choose to include all data available for both players, and not just bits and pieces for one of them.
Here’s the meaning of the phrase:
quote:
Cherry picking, suppressing evidence, or the fallacy of incomplete evidence is the act of pointing to individual cases or data that seem to confirm a particular position while ignoring a significant portion of related cases or data that may contradict that position.
Ignoring all of 2013 in the discussion of who’s a better quarterback is, again, the literal meaning.
Now, try and tell me that ignoring half of the available data for Mettenberger isn’t cherry picking again. I’ll just keep laughing at all of you for being so terribly uninformed.
