LSU beat Miami, Auburn and Georgia by playing good defense and controlling the clock.

You're right. Les Miles' teams never did those things well.

It's called the worst O-Line performance at LSU in the last decade? What could the offense possibly do? You saw what happened the 1 really solid game they played all year. We handled Georgia.

Too bad we didn't have coaches that could get them to play well more than once.

With a much weaker Bama in early stages of their development

We need to slay the Giant

The same or worse record in the SEC? The lower offensive production and ranking? The loss to a mid major? The shutout losses to Bama?
The quality of wins....for a team that was expected to lose 4+ games in 2018.

Let's face facts.

Anyone that claims that the program is vastly improved is either biased or football ignorant.
That statement could very well prove true this time next year but as it stands LSU is still not beating bama, still losing to inferior teams, and still has a problem on the offensive side of the ball. The offense was such a problem that hiring an assistant from the saints is considered a saving grace.

Scored more points in one game AT Bama than O and E have managed in two combined home games.

He ran the offense to couldn't do anything against a Sun Belt team, coordinated one of the worst over offensive showings against State, and was mediocre in a loss to ND - but hey, he lost better against a relatively-speaking down Bama team. That's an accomplishment.

Please explain what this means. Are all football championships won before Saban took the Alabama job no longer valid? Since Clemson just wiped the floor with Bama this past year, does it count for two championships?

We had one good win last year

And the expectations falls squarely on the shoulders of the head coach.

Yeah because of O. In 2017 he had the 2nd most nfl draft picks in cfb and lost to bad teams. That doesn't instill confidence in the odds makers.

Now we get to the heart of it. Because O performed so terribly in 2017 and people had rock bottom expectations of him, simply besting those rock bottom expectations is a rousing success.

Our offense disappeared against Southeastern and La tech last year. Get fricked with your bullshite.

Great job to O for hiring such a qualified candidate

Oh wait, I forgot it was Alleva's fault that O hired Canada. It won't be until 2020 that anything can actually be O's fault (unless something happens between now and then outside of poor old O's control making it necessary to extend that time period).

Nope, I'm strictly talking about his comparison to Les

Bama wasn't then the Bama that is now. That has to be rectified by O.

2017 bama
#1 in opponents points per game
And opponents yards per game

I have come to the conclusion that only the so called "negatigers" actually give unbiased opinions of what they actually see on the field and the rest watch the games with their eyes closed

Yeah, but we won...

And 2018's offense was 128th in returning offensive production. 2017 had a returning starting QB, RB, OL, WRs.

That play against Ole Miss you have in your post reminds me of the final play against Florida in 2016.

Guess that's Miles fault as well.

Florida was much, much better from 2005-2009 than they have been recently.
