Jacob cutrera was an annual punching bag on the rant and he's still in the league. Welter is gonna kill it next year.

Pitiful for a starting SEC MLB
in a 3-4 maybe.

in a 4-3 the MLB is the run stuffer.

Outside of our elite LB's (Minter, Shep, and Baker), that's been about the average for our LB's.

Yeah he had 80 tackles... but only 25 solo.

Being 8th on the team in TFL isnt something to brag about. Especially when you are a front 7 player...

Our team sucked at getting to the QB.

He played very good against Iowa. But Iowa also could of been the slowest offense we have played this year.

And stats dont mean much. Starting MLB on any team will be top 5 in total tackles. I mean youre the MLB. Between the tackles is where you live. And a MLB having only 25 solo tackles isnt good. So yea 80 tackles might look good, but 25 solo isnt.

But I will say hes not as horrible as people make him out to be. Hes not good thougg. But he is below average. And is the weak link on the D.

And Cutrera is also 6'3 235lbs that can run. Welter... not so much.

I wish it was a stat that showed how many tackles were made outside the tackles..that would be more proof

I think the MLB has been the leading tackler on the team every year since Chavis got here besides 2011 when we split time between Minter and Hatcher.

And combined they would have lead the team.

The fact is MLB is a huge position on our team, and Welter makes takes but they are 5-10 yards after we are used to them being made.

He is small and slow.

Ya I like the Magee call. He bided his time, worked his arse off, and represents LSU very good, and when he got his opportunity he didnt look back.

I'm not sure what kind of leader Welter is. Hill gets pretty fired up and Is motivating. I just hope he can stay clean this off season. We will see! I like Rasco but he seems to have way too many personal fouls that are pointless.
