I will concede this argument to the elder LSU fans who have seen alot of nasty play from the current and old LSU players.

In my opinion, on the field Faneca still has to be in the same breath as the others. I heard stories that Faneca would go the 3 or 4 days without brushing his teeth prior to a game so the opposing linemen would smell it when he pancaked their arse.

Ever heard the story of Paul Bunyan?

So you don't believe he did this? It's feasible in my mind he could do this.

I would Say Nicky Savoie or Gabe "Northern Exposure". Nick couldn't catch too good, but he was always laying someone out down the field.

Nicky used to lay some mean blind-side hits! Now he's laying the smack down on the trout!

Sorry, then. I will never say it again, but it is just as believable if not moreso then some of these other pseudo-tall tales that has been posted in this thread.

Cantrell was during my latter college days, and from what I remember, he was involved in a stabbing incident during his last year of ball at LSU.

George Atiyeh should be mentioned. Heavyweight wrestler for LSU as well as a lineman for FB in the 70's-80's.

I guess he's out of prison by now.

Who was the guy that a judge called a "one man crime wave" during sentencing for multiple home robberies in the old Goodwood area a few years ago? It was an ex-LSU football player. Probably still in prison.

I believe your talking about Cecil Collins.

story about nicky.....
my dad and uncle went to the ole miss game 4 years ago. they met up with nicky and offered him to come sit next to them (my uncle and him are friends) because a friend of his was drunk and throwing up all over thier hotel room from the night before. nicky said on the way out his friend wanted some help...nicky told the guy to go f*** himself. back tot the story...my dad and uncle's seats were next to the ole miss student section and nicky had a purple and gold bead around his neck. this is how the convo played out.........

ole miss fans: Big Man! Big Man!

nicky: what the hell you guys want

ole miss fig #1: where you got them beads from? you had to show your tits for them?

nicky: i them from your mom. she showed her tits for them

ole miss fig #2: hey, a$$hole thats my momma too that you talking about

nicky: so that must make yall cousins being from the back of mississippi and all

ole miss fig #1: you wouldnt be so bad if you wouldnt be on steriods

nicky: i'd be a bad mothaf***er if i would be on steroids

ole miss fig #2: we gonna kick your a$$

nicky: you got about 7 figs over there that wanna fight....do this first: go get about 7 of your butt buddies, where i come from thats 77 figs...then yall come back and fight me

the funny part is he believed most of the stuff he said....he really would have taken all of the guys....the dude if nuckin futs

What do Cantrell, Andolsek,Savoie, and Labroussa and maybe Milton Trosclair,Ruffin Rodrigue Sr. and Jr. all have in common? They all came from Lafourche Parish. Don't mess with the "bayou Boys". I almost forgot about Mr. Estay. I would take this group over any that you want!

I'd heard two stories on Cantrelle. One that he beat up a guy in a bar and broke the guy's collarbone. Another was that he beat up a cop and that's what got him off the team.

Unless you know of someone else that stabbed a guy in a bar room fight, then it's Rusty Domangue. Of course, someone may know of another guy who did.

It was a pocket knife and it happened after the Nebraska game....a game in which he played a crucial role.

He was far from the meanest S.O.B. at LSU back then.

I wouldn't have wanted Bill Elko to grab me by the throat....just sayin.

I think the "one man crime wave" was Ramsey Dar Dar. He had a drug problem but wasn't a violent offender. He just had a habit that drove him to steal...a lot. Sad story. I read about it in It Never Rains in Tiger Stadium
