The very first caller that called in said that last year when JJ had a bad game and Lee was put it and did well, JJ always started the next game and asked why that was different when the roles were switched. Miles then got a little fired up and said that the coaches make the decisions and don't need permission from the fans and then said JJ is starting again this week.

Not really. The best player should play.

But if lee wasn't suspended for cutting class and that's a rumor, it goes against any and all conventional wisdom to bench your starting qb for throwing two picks out of three total ints on the year.

Especially when the one you replaced him with is more prone to turnovers recently.

I heard 5 minutes of the show and all I heard Miles say was the head coach will make the decision of who starts.

Check your ears. Les did not say that at all.

Drama queen was an understatement.

just surprising... I like TheDoc and I never took him to be this dramatic for a position where we can literally 'plug and play' this year with the guys we have and win each game by double digits (except Bama).

I didn't hear that but I think he starts JL. I think JL was being disiplined and that is all there is to it. CLM doesn't have to publicly out JL for breaking a team rule, if he did skip class.

Until proven otherwise, JJ is still Les's baby boy and he'll start.

I'm really not. Just want the team to win.

Lee was the second most efficient sec qb through 8 games. I think he actually still is.

Either way, maybe les has a plan. Who knows. He's been pushing all the right buttons this season. If lee really did cut class and was disciplined by missing a half against WKU I'm fine with that.

If he was benched for throwing 2 picks in one game, when he had been chugging along through eight games, that is 100% bullshite.

Man, if LSU slips up and does not go 14-0, there will be a fricking blood bath on this board... no matter which QB gets more snaps.

I quote Les "I gotta be very honest with you, Lee won't start this very next game." In the thread that says Coach Miles quarterback controversy, there is a clip of last nights show. Apparently you should check you ears.

He did not say what you think he said. Listen to it again.

He says, this is word for word:

"I gotta be very honest with you, I'm not telling you Lee won't start, I'm not telling you he won't play an integral part or take more snaps.

Lee. I could be wrong but I honestly dont think Les is going back to JJ full time at this point in the season. Call me crazy but I believe the class thing and I think Lee starts against Ole Miss but JJ gets to throw it a bit more now when he does come in.

Charlie Hanigriff stated for the record today that Lee was indeed guilty of cutting too many classes and was disciplined by having his pt cut. Also said that Lee is back on track with his classes and he would be shocked if Lee did not get at least half of the meaningful snaps this week.
