I can't see it being that important either way but in theory we'd want Ole Miss to lose in case we slip up so they'd have 2 losses right?

Or would that motivate Bama knowing that they'd have full control of their destiny with a win against us? (Not that I think either LSU or Bama will have a tough time getting up for that game)

Somewhat. I think an Ole Miss loss might motivate Bama more against us. And pretty much everything in the west rides on the outcome of LSU vs Bama IMO

If we win that game, I'm predicting we run the table.

Ole miss is the only other team that controls its own destiny in the west. They lose and it's all on us and the Ole Miss game isn't singled out as a must win for LSU.

An Ole Miss loss will motivate Bama more? That's quite a reach.

It would put them in control of their own destiny would it not?

Otherwise they'd have to rely on someone else to beat Ole Miss (like us for instance)

serious question. Did you ever play any sport at a "high level"? Meaning, a GOOD HS team, etc?

I always wonder when people suggest there can be ADDITIONAL "motivation" when a game of an LSU v Bama game is upcoming.

I am NOT trying to insult you. But, it is just silliness that there could be additional motivation that would impact the play of either team here.

The winner of LSU/Bama is going to Atlanta, of that I have no doubt. An Auburn win here would solidify that

I know. I acknowledged that.

It's a bye week and I'm bored at work. To answer your question I played high school football.

I'm going ole miss because we win out we are in. Worst case we lose to bama and ole miss but ole miss wins out they go to sec title game.

Correct me if I am wrong, but an Ole Miss loss just shifts control from Ole Miss to Alabama. An Ole Miss loss helps Alabama? We have to beat Ole Miss either way.

Does't really matter. Beat Bama and LSU will run the table the rest of the way. OM and TAMU suck 7 pounds of wolf pussy defensively.

We root for auburn.

Gives ole miss 2 conference loses, so if we beat bama but lose to ole miss and beat aTm and Arky, we still win the West
