It's just another pumper strawman to detract from the point.

Hence why I made the list. 70 current college coaches.

Where did I say head coach?

And considering we PASSED in Jimbo to hire Miles is say he's 100% relevant.

Sure, LSU could probably hit a home run with a new coach a la Hugh Freeze/Malzahn/etc... but we could also swing and miss terribly

right

Miles has already proven that he can turn it around

its basically 50/50 for a new hire by evidence of many other programs with new coaches

I'll probably get blasted for this but if les was fired or stepped down in the next year or two I would definitely want tommy tuberville as our coach.

not saban or meyer, but Patterson is not out of the realm of possibility.

Id love to have Graham from ASU.

I realy liked brain Kelly and butch jones but they seem to be settled.

So you mean there's a chance he wouldnt succeed?

Just like there's a chance we still have a multi loss season under Miles next year.

In fact ,the multi loss season has a higher probability than the new coach failing under your definition.

Okay Cpt, who do you think LSU could realistically go get if Miles walked away right now?

Because that's who we hired. Remember? We hired him first, then he became the coach at LSu, idiot pumper.

At the time Jimbo had never been a head coach. The Archer experiment was still very much in everyone's mind.

For sake of clarity, is the list on page 1 of the OP their winning percentage before their current (or most successful gig)?

If not, I cry shenanigans my good sir. Shenanigans!

I would be highly shocked if Gary Patterson ever left TCU. Offers have come his way and he hasn't budged and now they are in a power conference. I don't see that as realistic at all.

Still plenty of coaches that are worth a gamble, especially if we believe Les is not capable of winning a title again. IMO the risk of a slight slip is worth it if we don't feel like Les is going to win a nc again.

As such, their winning percentage comparable to Miles comes into play. 70 current coaches would be better on paper than Miles was when he was hired.

So do you want an intellectually honest conversation or do you want to troll and throw shite around like usual. Miles was identified using a criteria to recreate what they did when Saban was an up and comer. They looked for a power six coach having success at the second tier school in the state. They said if he can recruit atheltes to compete with a more storied program a la Michigan vs msu and ou vs okie state then that will translate well. It worked out twice in a row for us. I'd be looking at briles Patterson as current examples.

It is their career win percentage up this point. Which would be relevant if they were to be hired at a new school.

And does your criteria for Miles include his LSU win/loss record?
