as of right now. I am not talking people who have the potential in 3 years to be a 1st or 2nd rounder. I mean legitimate chance based on their performances to date(at least two years, so no freshmen from this past season).

I can't think of any outside of Barksdale MAYBE MAYBE having a shot at late 2nd.

TT is a legit first round prospect, but will need to work his butt off this year to make it.

As of now TT is said to be at best a 3rd rounder by most scouts.

Barksdale is not even a prayer for getting into round 1. No way in hell. Late 2nd at best is my guess unless he magically becomes a great tackle.

Fact is that we have not been seeing the development needed with these players, and sadly the players from LSU are being stereotyped for lack or focus/effort/intensity/drive over the past 3 years or so.

But but but LSU has all the talent in the world and can't win because Les Miles is terrible.

We won't lose much talent from this year to 2011. K. Shepard could be a first rounder, I can't think of many other upperclassmen that have a shot.

Sheppard MIGHT get into round 2 at best. Nevis looks like a round 3 player with his production so far.

He likely will be hurt by not getting to consistently play and being in a rotation. Injuries haven't helped him either.

I literally think PP is the only one you can say would be top 2 right now. Sheppard has a shot, but he'll have to play his arse off with the talent around him.

I really think LSU fans just over rate the teams talent. Hell, Bradie James was a better LBer than Sheppard and he went in the 4th round.

Barksdale.

Off potential, Montgomery, Brockers, and Faulk have the measurables at a young age.

Did you even freaking read the original post?

Mingo, Brockers, Ford, and Lee haven't even played a down yet.

Randle is a freshman with 11 catches.

ShepPard may have a shot at round 2, but Shepard (the WR) hasn't proven anything to make him a top 2 round pick in 3 years. Read the first post again.

Barksdale is average. he'll at best go 3rd round unless he magically becomes a great tackle over one off season.

Toliver is rated 3rd round as of now by most Scouts at best. Lafell was rated 1st by most and actually went late 3rd.

Yup, talk about overrating our talent.

You make the point quite well. It's a constant work in progress. LSU has had several highly rated classes. True, the jury is still out on these guys. So, you can't (as you'd like to do) criticize Miles for sucking as a head coach, b/c you haven't given him a chance yet to develop the players he's recruited.

Every now and then, try to see the glass as half-full, and you might enjoy life more.

You can't totally disregard Barksdales potential when Tyson went 3rd overall based off potential.
