Who other teams play prior to LSU

I made this list last year and it was popular, so here is one for the 2012 season. Again, this is who each one of LSU's opponents play the week before they play LSU.
1. 09/01 - North Texas (Season opener for both schools), LSU rolls.
2. 09/08 - Washington plays cupcake San Diego State the week before, matching LSU with a tuneup game.
3. 09/15 - Idaho plays Bowling Green the week before, they will struggle more than LSU will against UW, not that is matters.
4. 09/22 - Auburn plays cupcake ULM, also matching LSU with a practice open to the public the week before.
5. 09/29 - Towson doesn't have a schedule on ESPN, that is how bad they are. FYI, Towson is in Maryland.
6. 10/06 Florida has a bye week prior to LSU, which isn't much different than what LSU is doing.
7. 10/13 South Carolina plays Georgia, neither team will be able to focus on this game until their prior game is over.
8. 10/20 Texas A&M has a bye week to slowly stretch and condition their anuses. But on a serious note, LSU is playing a tough game the week before and we currently have no idea what kind of offense Sumlin will have going at mid-season.
BYE WEEK, and at a very good time.
9. 11/03 - Bama gets Miss State the week before. While everyone will expect Bama to win, they can't overlook MSU.
10. 11/10 - Miss State plays at Texas A&M, in what will hopefully be a tight emotional game.
11. 11/17 - Ole Miss plays Vandy, fortunately, Ole Miss will still suck.
12. 11/23 - Arkansas will be playing Miss State. We will know by this point if Petrinoless Arkansas has any teeth, in either case they get to play the best team the state of Mississippi has to offer. LSU gets to play they reason that is not considered an accomplishment.
In summary, Texas A&M is the only team with a scheduling advantage over LSU. Hopefully MSU can be better than most are projecting since they are the prior week opponent to the possibly two hardest team on the schedule (Bama and Arky)

Thanks for the hard work..I like the bye before bama so we have more time to game plan, watch film, etc. I think this is another reason we should win, despite the absence.of TM7

But they are also our next game after Bama, and we haven't played all that well the week after the Bama game in the last four years. Of course, those games were against perceived cupcakes which could have influenced our level of focus. I think State will be improved this year, but I wouldn't mind seeing them play a bad game on Nov. 10th.

SDST is a decent team, they were 8-5 last year and lost on a last second field goal to ULL in the New Orleans bowl.

Great post. I'm glad we have a scheduling edge over Bama this year, it must be at least four or five seasons straight, prior to this year, that both teams have off weeks.

What about Georgia playing Georgia Tech before the SEC Championship game?

Ok, so SDSU is an ok team meaning UW has a harder matchup than LSU the week before they play each other.

They also have a former Oregon State QB (who started multiple games for them) as their starter this year....having said all this, UW should roll......

Their coach is considering not punting this year. I really hope this happens.

After losses, which basically ended the season. '08 was the Troy clusterfrick and '09 Tech was almost as bad.
But in 2010 we mauled ULM 51-0, and last year beat W Ky. 42-9.
The other obvious factor is that everbody from coaches to players to fans knew we were playing "inferior" teams, and thus the energy level isn't going to be where it probably needs to be. If beating Bama takes us to 9-0 and #1 in the country, it's hard to believe the team would let down and overlook an SEC foe, even if it is State.

That is a good point, but the TAMU game for them will be a dogfight. Also they play Bama the week before that and the game is in BR. It is probably the second biggest "trap" game behind A&M.
