That wasn't the question.

The question was

I know JJ decently well and he is one of the best dudes you would ever want to meet. It just didn't work out for him as coach here.

I'm not going to say Will Wade, because I think he's in his own class as someone who was forced out for non performance related issues. That leaves me with John Brady. I just always liked him, and it seemed like his teams never quit. Plus he was in charge of two of the most fun seasons I've ever had following LSU basketball, in '99-'00 and '05-'06.

The follow up to that final four year was a puzzling mess that totally went against his reputation of getting the most out of his teams (he didn't always recruit well, but when he had some talent, he won with it), but I thought the firing was way too soon. Especially considering the hires they made afterwards, before finally landing Wade (and then blowing that up). The scholarship limitations that Dale Brown left him to deal with made it difficult to establish any consistency in the beginning, but he managed to keep the ship afloat for the most part.

Jerry Stovall.... not close IMO

He was true blue LSU. Went from coach of the year in 1982 to fired in 1983. Handled his dismissal with grace and never bashed LSU.

I like Coach O, Les Miles and Will Wade but agreed with the decision to fire all three at the time. Wade is the only one I’d like back. Maybe after a few years O can come back in some non-coaching capacity.

Jerry Stovall. National Coach of the year, then fired after the following season.
Stovall had a roster of young super athletes signed, but he never had the opportunity to Coach them. Arnsparger used the, talent and then left.
Politics!!!

Wade. Orgeron, Brady
LSU Admin has a history of incompetence.
