We all know that Mickey Johnson is a work out warrior. But does anyone know who was the strongest player ever signed by the tigers. I remember a linebacker from John Curtis years ago who was very strong but his game wasn't great. Does strength translate to making someone a great football player? I know that LSU signed a bunch of sprinters who never became great football players. I know that I changed the subject a little but what makes a football player great?

Strength is more of a factor for defensive tackles than lbs. Just saying

there is a lot of things that go into making a good player. athletisism, game smarts, and intangibles. and i dont know about the strongest player but i know craig stelts brother was pretty strong.

I think Ford was on the list in a few of the lifting categories. If I had to guess, it'll be between him and Mickey for the team's strongest.

its all relative...

A 180lbs. DB that benches 350 is stronger than a 300lbs. DT that benches 450...

One of the strongest football players I remember was Chad Lavalais. He owned the bench press and back squat.

Kevin Steltz, not craig.
