Faneca

My dad‘s been going to games since he was a freshman in 1956. He says Faneca is the best player he ever saw play at LSU.

Faneka!
But I'll always remember Andolsek. We were playing Notre Dame, when our Tailback Fumbled and the announcer voice raised a couple of decibels, proclaiming "Notre Dame Ball" when a Notre Dame player fell on top of the bal. In a split second, Andolsek drove his shoulder into the back of the Notre Dame player and the bal popped out. An LSU player grabbed the ball as we kept possession.

Eric Hill told me once Ralph Norwood was the toughest one he went against. Eric Andolsek was the meanest. He told me about a fight he got in with him when Eric hit Tommy Hodsen in practice once.

Great names listed here, hard to pick a #1. Its too bad that LSU doesn't have an OL on the current roster that has the ability to play at the level of the ones listed above.

It has to be one of those $I like Mawae a little better than the others maybe because he was so versatile. In the pros he was put in where they needed a player and i believed played all positions at one time or the other. But you have also credit Whitworth who was an all pro OT so many years.
